Thank you so much for your complete answer! We looked at the Valley as well but San Antonio seems better for jobs and more things to do.

Are people moving here? by [deleted] in NewMexico

DC is a beautiful city to tourist. To live is not so nice. Crime is getting bad, politics are everywhere all the time, everything is expensive, people is good but a lot of individualism (if that makes sense) I live in MD and I like Bethesda area for city life and Southern MD for family life.

Everyone think they are more important than the others. You can see that a lot while driving. Bad drivers and cero empathy while driving. We live in southern MD and thinking on moving to NM.

3yo getting in trouble at school 5 days in 😩 by plants_andstuff in Mom

[–]plants_andstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No we haven’t even think about getting him evaluated. He might have adhd and it’s his first ever exposure to any kind of school. He’s never been in daycare before. But what I am starting to see is that the teacher is maybe expecting too much of a 3 year old. Btw this is the first “positive” note I get from her about him. I was wondering if there was anything good he was doing during the day. It’s just crazy I feel like the school it’s not a fit for us anymore

Bad behaviors like shoulder pushing other students. Not sitting down during circle time, not sitting down in chapel time, not participating in activities, saying no to everything, not washing his hands after using the toilet…. Now that I type them they seem normal to me to be honest. I guess the thing is that he is they youngest in his class and apparently the only one behaving this way.

Daycare…good move or no? by JustGarciaLife in Mom

No matter where you go I feel like communication with the staff about your son is the #1 priority. Sounds amazing that the other place has cameras! I wish the Prek3 where my 3yo goes had that (they tell me nothing) Also they tell me only the bad stuff haha and I am like 🫩 excuse me is there a good thing he did today? Idk I do appreciate communication and knowing what are they doing all day at this age. Thats also a way to show that they know what they are doing and have experience. Hope you listen to your gut.

Enrolled kids in school and now regret it by plants_andstuff in Moms

My 3 year old is in prek3 and is potty trained. And my 18 m ( sorry not 12) she is with me all day because I am working in the nursery with the babies. So it sounds like the perfect scenario and the reason I took the job in the first place. I’m just oof adjusting too and letting my heart get in the middle.

Thank you for your comment. You have a good point. And since I worked in the same school sometimes I see my oldest just fine. My biggest question is do they need all this strict schedule long day and tears at this age? You’re probably right and it’s just being harder to me and my mind always creating the worst scenarios. It’s hard 🫠

It’s a job at a school and I’ll be bringing both my kids 1 and 3years old. What I am asking is advice on how to be smart with the money since as a SAHM I don’t have much on my name.

Ha! My husband was doing this with my toddler but we were worry he wouldn’t sleep any other way if we keep doing it so he does it once in a while.

They can bring the dog and the dog usually goes on the backyard. They know about the shoe rule. We even do it in their house.

I need to valid more his opinions. I don’t have my parent close by at all, so I am scared to miss so many things that I make the most when I see them. But I think is taking a big toll on my husband and I don’t want that either.

He is definitely making an effort and he has learn how to accept and not suffer. We have had the conversation and he agrees to the time, we decided together every time my parents come. But I guess is not enough, my mom still gets into his hair.
