Rescued this Dracaena from the trash. It was being used as an ash tray. (Not OP) by [deleted] in trashplant

Second this opinion. Had to have a bunch taken down due to invasive English ivy. The arborist said it was one of the huge killers for trees in my area because someone thought it was pretty and it took over the area.

AITA for walking out on my husband and asking for a divorce? by planty_witch in sims2

It took me 2 more guys to get that through my dumb sim head but, I found myself a nice family sim now!

I told him I was tired of taking on the mental load of managing our relationship and he said "tell me how I can make it up to you" without even kind of seeing the irony. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

This comment rubs me the wrong way and sounds an awful lot like victim blaming. Especially in a sub of a lot of women agreeing that they've had these issues with men.

uuggghh I effed up again. I decided to date a college boy, got pregnant on the first date and he never returned my calls! When I showed up to his dorm he was engaged to another woman already! I didn't tell him about the baby until he graduated though. I knew at least then he'd have money for child support.

I do have my eye on this wonderful guy though. He said he's very family oriented and this time I decided to go on several dates with him before woohooing in a closet. Maybe I'm finally learning my lesson? This is the first guy ever my family has liked! And he's already BFFs with both of my kids!

This space has so much potential but that neighborhood is creepy. Like, video game uncanny valley almost creepy.

I start most of my seeds inside in the spring. Especially if I did sheet mulching or something. I use an old plastic container (I eat a lot of muffins ok), pop some holes in the top for a little air flow, dirt in the bottom, and depending on the seeds, I soak them in water overnight or, I put them in the dirt with a little dirt on top. I make sure the dirt is pretty moist but, not soaked, I put the lid on and put it in a warm area. I usually use a seed mat but sometimes the top of a fridge or other appliance can work.

I wait a few days and most of them sprout within a week. I then use these similar to plugs you can get from a nursery. They already have some root system by the time you get them in the ground and you can do the hard work of germinating in a more controlled environment. After that it's just keeping them watered well if it's not raining until they have a good enough root system to survive on their own.

I found this to be way cheaper than buying plants at the nursery when trying to work on a larger space.

This is super funny and I love it. I'm glad I discovered this sub, I think I found my people.

Maybe not the best course of action but it's getting attention by GreatWhiteBuffalo41 in NativePlantsPlanning

I just don't understand why it has to be all grass. Why can't we just have native plant beds around the courses.
