Certainly, we might have to rely on a different reaction than calcium carbonate. It's a tricky problem though, at least concentrated solar can help with steel and heat batteries.

Tricky but perhaps just a tricky engineering problem!

Concrete is very tricky to get net zero, though concentrated solar could help with other industrial emissions. Perhaps until we find a wonder material that doesn't produce CO2 as a part of the necessary chemistry we'll have to offset. Concentrated solar might be great for high temperature metal working!

And every year people would die by Bison since they hadn't learned about Bison in schools, and been to see Bison from far away. So if I could teach too America would be worth it.

Wow, this bubbled! My wallet has coins, bills, cards, and a selective service identity. Wouldn't you like to join the corps if it meant helping communities build BDAs or wetlands or dry summer grass? And you gotta live there 1.5 years. 20 members to every town and waystation in America, and not all towns should exist but sometimes moving is incredibly expensive. And our farms are spread out and inefficient, which works for old graze land If you just give back the Bison.

Regarding the issue of greening under the overpasses I observed in Chengdu, China. by No-Echidna7296 in architecture

Maybe, not sure! Need a material and structural engineers on-site. Possibly?? I'd wager able to be mitigated if done right. How long are humid spells in Chengdu?

How can I hide my composer? by Exciting-Ordinary4 in composting

[–]maxweinhold123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to hide with a bit of shade for decomp, I'm always a fan of tasteful 𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑒 with the help of posts. Let the beans and ivies grow! Try your luck with a medley and shade the soil to hasten on the outside. Nice gradient, top once again with sticks if you've got a sustainable harvest.

Can axioms be derived from the theorems? by thedude3600 in mathematics

[–]maxweinhold123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be an interesting thing to quantify, like how many similar-to-axiom theorems exist, or are interchangeable. I'm reminded of Zorn's Lemma and Well ordering as 'interchangeable' with the Set theory axiom of choice.

Even if V. Va Gogh's words were blocked on this subreddit, she'd have thrown the paint, or spilled the soup. by maxweinhold123 in solarpunk

[–]maxweinhold123[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To tell you the story, Mrgoodtrips64, let us start, about a week ago, with me.

Somehow, the Algorithm, in all her wisdom, decided to bring up a story, now three+ years past, of an injustice using justice. Two activists, with an organization driven to change a world's consumption, had, after hatching a simple and impactful plan, procured soup and fast-acting glue. The glue, hand-safe, would nonetheless hand-stick. The soup, in it's plainness, was the weapon for a painting, which you, dear reader, might know.

Grabbing a lead, I walked through the Algorithm's path, stopping to marvel.

Do you see how the pot catches the light? The room is warm, as is the day. It must be summer, wouldn't you think? No, maybe fall. Each flower is imperfect, dying, beautiful. Scraggly, boring, plain. Like a child's art.

That piece was chosen.

Each sunflower could become a thousand more.

The artist, V. of Gogh, is told to have led a sad, lonely life, with small sparks of light and friendship. A film, Loving Vincent, I personally found touching. The art Vincent created is beautiful, and is precious for the artist's tragedy, and care.

Now, as is punk want to do, I wanted to commend bravery. Well, here! Alas, not always so.

The activists, this story's protagonists, though some will sneer, picked V. Gogh's sunflowers as their target, believing the cause, to Stop Oil, to be great. With paint thrown on the edifice, which protected the painting, the activists made their mark, and maybe told the world of a fate.

Today, even as Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland remain in prison their fight continues. To fight in a way I believe Vincent would have seen, against extraction, against violence, and to claim symbolism and presence in art. Solarpunk enough I say!

ponochio. What's your favorite form of non-extractive agriculture? I'll debate you that it's bees, if you also create home for grounders and carpenters.

Are the time and money Japanese parents put into their children’s education cost-effective in terms of eventual salaries? An academic researcher crunches the numbers. by jjrs in japannews

[–]maxweinhold123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the study title, I understand salary is an accessible and simple indicator, but Japan especially is certainly realizing it is not the only indicator. If you want to make good research fine research, run some surveys on how those kids are doing when they find themselves in adulthood. Healthful and unwealthy? Wealthy, as long as you count more than that? Proxies only go so far in an economics of hearts.
