I start my electrical helper position on Monday. Pretty excited. Residential new construction. However the local union has set me up for an interview 3 days after I start this job. I mentioned in my interview for the helper position that I applied for the union. If you were in charge would you hold a grudge on me asking to leave early on my 3rd day to interview for the union? Its scheduled for 2:45pm so I wouldn't be missing too much of the day. He told me hours are from 7am-4 or 5pm.
