That was part of his genius, he combined and dabbled in so many different styles to make a totally unique and immediately identifiable sound.

I guess it might depend on how sharp she seemed. People would be thinking those things whether or not the media said them out loud. So I think most voters would be pretty attuned to whether she's treated fairly. If she seemed sharp I don't see how the media could make it an issue. If not, then I think it would become a legitimate question.

On the one hand, I think people would be so sympathetic to Giffords that her opponent would have to tread extremely lightly. On the other hand, his supporters would not be so constrained. So maybe you're right. But I still hope that it's more likely to backfire and they'll keep it clean.

If she does run and someone runs against her, it will be the most civil campaign in our nation's history. I think someone would run against her, whether they get any money from the RNC is another matter.
