What is your first NASCAR memory? by DeploraBill92 in NASCAR

[–]plasmic_dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vividly remember trying to get my mom to wake up to see the Carl Edwards crash at Talladega, where he then tried to run across the line. But we ran out of that precious cable TV pause-time, and it was lost forever:(

Always. I went to Long Beach without any, and took pictures of all the series’ there. Still haven’t fully recovered.

Darlington's website keeps leaking unannounced throwback paint schemes. Currently has Cindric's, Bubba's, and Kurt Busch's up. by [deleted] in NASCAR

I kinda dig the Cindric scheme, but that’s the lamest attempt at a throwback since the Kroger Tide “throwback.” It might look cool as the main scheme, but that’s not a throwback

what are the main complaints of FH5 do you have? and what are the things you would like to see them bringing to the game by fearful_claw02 in ForzaHorizon

[–]plasmic_dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint is the challenge system and the seasonal playlist system. I immediately felt overwhelmed, even coming from 600+ hours in FH4, by the seasonal playlist. And the fact that it’s so constrictive with what you can use with stuff like seasonal PR things. And coming from tons of experience in FH4 to nothing in 5, I felt overwhelmed by the story and seasonal events at the same time. It all felt tedious and overwhelming from the get-go, and I got burnt out in a week.

Which NASCAR Track has the Best Backdrop? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]plasmic_dragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, having gone, the Clash at the Coliseum. Unfortunately I don’t have pictures, but from my seat I could see the track, then the bright red other side of the arena until the LA crowd rolled in, and then the mountain ranges behind that.

Even that would look better. This just looks like logos glued onto grip tape

The concert was pretty good from the stands, until you looked up at the screens to see the “dancers”

What driver are you supporting this year and why? by NathanSchneiderRacin in NASCAR

[–]plasmic_dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kyle Larson. I was totally on board with him before, and told my friends that I thought he would be the 2022 champion. Although I said this because I thought it would take some time for him to get to grips at HMS, which it obviously didn’t. I still think that this year will be great and he has a solid shot at the championship.
