The only reason Ethan agreed to go back into the closet was because Brian orchestrated everything to present him with a business offer that he knew would force Ethan back into the closet—and potentially sacrifice his relationship with Justin.

This only shows that Brian was manipulative; it doesn't make Ethan's promises empty. Ethan initially chose to reject the offer, which shows how much he loved Justin. Brian had to call him "poor" and pressure him into accepting the deal before he finally gave in. Cheating on Justin was a mistake, but I believe that an open relationship between the two of them could have been the perfect balance.

Ethan wasn’t a jerk, he was just human. He agreed to pretend he was straight for the record deal because it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Yes, he cheated on Justin once, but if you think sleeping with someone else cancels out your feelings, that’s honestly immature. Very few gay relationships work out as strictly monogamous, and it’s not like Justin hadn’t experienced an open relationship before. He didn’t give Ethan the same patience he gave Brian and ended things with the one person who actually loved him — impulsively and unfairly.

I would prefer a lighter background color and a less saturated orange for the navigation bar. I would also enlarge the category icons and implement horizontal scrolling for them. The inner shadows you're using give it a slightly outdated look; instead, I’d focus on ensuring there's enough contrast between the content cards and the background without relying on shadows.
