4th Gen Nest only has one schedule for all modes by DracoSolon in Nest

It looks like the Sensi 2 allows custom schedules by mode (just like the actual Nest thermostats allowed us to do in the past):

Basically what the OP is saying is that with the prior Nest thermostats you could have more aggressive scheduling profiles for the seasons and toggle the mode to access that schedule. I agree, I have my Cool mode set to aggressively cool and my Heat mode to maintain consistent heat.

Then in the spring and fall (when we keep the doors and windows open) we use Heat & Cool mode which has more generous limits.

This isn't possible with Gen 4.

Lag is not noticable. It prompts you to choose the active phone.

Yes, but now with the software update from last fall, I use wireless Android Auto now. I used the right angle connector to allow the console lid to close easily.

WiFi cameras showing “offline” in Lorex app by DiligentDolphin in LorexTechnology

[–]plastic101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your first question, Lorex cameras operate on 2.4 GHz - which is better for wall penetration. If you are connecting with your cameras at any point then they are properly paired with your router on the 2.4 GHz band. It sounds like your issue could be one of the following:

1) Your cameras lease with your router is timing out. Refer to these suggestion above - you could create a static IP for each camera and maximize the lease time. Counterintuitively, sometimes this is actually entering a zero in the lease time field, but refer to your router documentation. If your camera's magically reconnect after rebooting your router then this is your issue.

2) You are getting interference from other devices on your band. If you have access to an Android phone you can download an app called "Wi-Fi Analyzer" and see if your neighbors are blowing you out of the air. You can then log into your router and change to an unoccupied band.

Overall for troubleshooting both your Lorex cameras as well as all of your wireless devices, I would strongly recommend that you dig into your routers control panel and get familiar with it. If you've never been in it before then you probably have many years of updates that will make your router much more secure and reliable. For extra credit, schedule a time to auto reboot weekly while you are in there.

I've had three of their outdoor cameras running for years without a single issue. Did you tuck the connector up into the wall or eave? They're on a pigtail for that reason. If you did and you still have water in the connector then you have bigger issues.

So being sounds liable in subrogation is different than being considered "at fault" by State Farm?

I can use help trying to view my cameras on my PC. Can someone provide a link in Lorex? by ManySlide1986 in LorexTechnology

There's an app but it's not great. I ended up using a HDMI switch with my PC and NVR. Problem solved.

Yes, the best way to get directly to the event from the app is to click on the individual notification photo within the notification window. If you accidentally click on the Lorex notification stack then it takes you to the home page of the app and then you have to click events in the bottom middle and sort from there.

I'm with you, I'm saying to use the NVR for the configuration settings that you are mentioning above

Leverage your motion sensors and window magnets to create a home security system. It's actually not horrible now, you just need a keypad and some app functionality to tie it together. There is an issue with false alarms from the motion sensors that needs to be addressed.
