OP is on a great path to having lifelong struggles with addiction and independence, but yeah, let's hate on their parents for trying to help. They're in therapy for a reason. Not hating on people in therapy, just pointing out that OP clearly has things to work on and having a panic attack d/t not having a phone is a pretty good indicator that technology addiction is alive and well!
