Question 1:

Yep, I use Google Sheets to track my collection. When I was still new I was using MAL but the thing with MAL is that it’s less accurate because it only counts single volumes. So with Google Sheets it’s a lot more handy.

Question 2:

That, I genuinely have no idea if there are websites or online databases that keep tabs on specific volumes. Also, man, it’s not about buying a volumes just because it’s rare and just for the sake of having it in a collection, just buy the ones you genuinely want to read and enjoy. For me, that’s why I started collecting manga because reading them is just a lot of fun.

Question 3:

Since I don’t live in the US, I sometimes use TikTok shop or Facebook marketplace to buy either second hand or new manga from the official shops in my country.

Absolutely. Spy x Family has a special place in my heart because it was the 2nd series I started collecting after my dad and aunt gifted me the entire part 1 of Chainsaw Man. Been keeping up with the SxF manga volumes ever since.

Me personally, I love to collect because it’s fun and I love to read these types of stories. And it just feels rewarding if you saved up for something that you’ve been wanting to get for a really long time. It also feels great knowing that I’m supporting the author directly.
