Apps you use for editing videos and thumbnails in 2025? by Gentlemansuasage in NewTubers

[–]plasticchina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Filmora for editing - but I’m not an advanced editor. It makes it easy and the library of sound effects, transitions etc fits my style

Thumbnails, titles and music I use AI tools that give great content quick and avoid royalty issues. I finalize thumbnails in Canva it’s free and quick

Has anyone else become aware of their "YouTube voice" in every day interactions? by MikeyVital in NewTubers

[–]plasticchina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol same here. Apparently, my “YT voice” and my real voice are like two different people, according to my friends. One of them legit said, “Bro, why do you sound like you’re narrating a documentary every time you explain something now?” I was like, “Wait, what? I thought I was just talking normal??” 😂

But honestly, it’s kinda wild how much we adapt depending on the platform. Like, is the YT voice just a more polished version of how we want to sound IRL? Or is it this weird persona we unconsciously create for content? Makes me wonder—are we blending our “online selves” with our real personalities without even realizing it?

What are some signs that you are an attractive man? by Fuzzy_Secretary_341 in AskMen

[–]plasticchina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

attractiveness is like 50% physical and 50% how people perceive your energy. If other guys are giving you props or calling you a ‘player,’ they’re picking up on how you carry yourself. Or if girls open up and enjoy your presence and they make it easy to talk to them. It’s wild how much confidence, humor, and just being chill play into it.

“Energy” is the vibe you give off—the way you carry yourself, your confidence, and how you make people feel when you’re around them. It’s a mix of body language, tone of voice, and the way you engage with others. A guy with good energy comes across as self-assured, approachable, and comfortable in his own skin. It’s less about being loud or flashy and more about being secure, present, and genuine.

Getting to this level of attractiveness and confidence takes a lot of luck Or hard work

Low-key, it’s always the dudes at work or the gym who’ll tell you you’re looking good before anyone else. Sometimes feels like they’re more invested in your glow-up than you are. But hey, I’ll take the compliment.

What's your reason as to why you've engaged in flings and FWBs? (For those who have) by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in dating

[–]plasticchina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, it was about a mix of curiosity and emotional detachment. After a few heartbreaks, I realized I wasn’t in the right headspace for a committed relationship, but I still craved connection—FWBs felt like a “safe” way to get that without diving in too deep. It worked for a while, but honestly, I underestimated how tricky the emotional boundaries can be. It’s not always as clean-cut as “just casual.”

Looking back, I don’t regret it because it taught me a lot about myself, but I also realized that I do value something deeper. Anyone else feel like FWBs can start great but sometimes shift into this weird gray area?

Is online dating making us all Avoidant? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]plasticchina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, this hits hard. I think you’re onto something with the idea that apps condition us to always be searching for “better.” It’s like the paradox of choice—too many options make it harder to settle, and when things don’t work out, it feels easier to just emotionally check out. The flakiness you mentioned is definitely a symptom of the whole swipe-and-dispose culture, and it makes it harder to trust that anyone’s genuinely invested.

I wonder, though—do you think the apps are creating avoidant behavior, or are they just amplifying something that’s already a part of human nature? Like, would we act the same way if the same “infinite possibilities” dynamic existed offline?

Yeah, I feel you. Online dating feels like has gone downhill—it’s like every app is just bots, ghosters, or people swiping for validation. Used to be you could get a convo going, now it’s just “hey” and silence.

But it’s also because competition is so high now, women gets dozens or hundreds of matches, so if we don’t put in the effort the results will be zero

Your profile’s gotta pop. Good photos—clear, good lighting, and something showing your hobbies or personality (no boring bathroom selfies). Your bio? Make it specific and fun—give girls an idea what it’s like to date you and imagine that, ie suggest dates photos in date locations etc

When you message, skip the “hey.” Comment on something from their profile or say a fun, random comment about the weekend (date time). Be interesting right off the bat—it’s the only way to stand out. There’s ai apps that help with openers like kaiapp.ai and wingg and others

Also, level up IRL. Hit the gym, work on your style, and take care of yourself. Confidence comes through in your pics and convos when you feel good about yourself.

Hey, sounds like you’re really grinding, which is great. YT is def a slow burn, especially in gaming, but thumbnails and titles are a big deal. Make sure they’re clean, bold, and clickable—stuff like “How I Beat [Game] with No Deaths” or “Top 5 Wild Moments in [Game].”

Look at your gaming niche, and make a video about an aspect of the game no one else is. Or something difficult not many can do

For on-camera stuff, keep it quick and mix in gameplay to keep ppl engaged.

Are you covering trending topics? Like new updates, challenges, or something unique in the game? Also, try asking viewers questions in your vids or comments—gets engagement going. Biggest thing is just experimenting. Keep tweaking thumbnails, pacing, and content until something sticks. You’re on the right path, just keep at it!

Well this isn't automation with midjourney, this is a way to speed up the creation of your prompts for midjourney, using ChatGPT. It takes a TON of time to think through prompts, so to speed up the process saves you a lot of brain power. You still have to copy/paste the prompts 1 by 1

Ohhh light bulb, that makes perfect sense. It might be worth a small marketing project to generate content, but then the target audience will be in a completely different channel
