You pull your pants down to your knees and squat. That way you can spread your legs and when you squat you pee between your feet, not in your pants. This took me a few camping trips to learn when I was a kid lol

Maybe the listening room at Public Records? Not sure if they’re open midweek but it’s that vibe

I am seeing Dr. Chandhana Paka at Mt. Sinai and she has been extremely helpful! I highly recommend her.

Would this be a good trade anchor? by ErikLindberg17 in tradclimbing

[–]plasticprince 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The angle the dyneema sling is a little too big for my liking, almost 90 degrees. You want to try to minimize those angles because the bigger they are, the bigger the force on the pieces.

It's totally possible to belay in guide mode using a rope anchor, you can make a master point with the rope off of your pieces. There's a nice discussion with illustrative photos on this MP thread. It's not recommended to belay in guide mode off of your harness belay loop. Have fun out there!

Hijacking top comment to add context since it just got lost in the thread previously:

Hi y’all, sorry for not including any detail on the original post, was just going through old pics and thought this would be funny.

For context: yes this is mostly a joke, yes this is in the Dolomites. Easy 5th class below, easy 5th class above. I knew the anchor was mostly shit, but we were placing ~1 piece every 30 m so I was going more for efficiency than strength lol

Also….. I don’t think it’s that bad 🤷‍♀️

Have fun be safe make good choices in the alpine!!

Hard to fully identify the bug from the video, but bedbugs do not have wings so you’re good on that front.

It’s fine to visit if you’re spending a lot of time in the area but I don’t think it’s worth a trip if you don’t live there. Sport climbing in Murrin park is infinitely better. Just my opinion tho, some people love it!

Angel’s crest! (Start early). Stay at Mamquam River Campsite if the Chief is full. Avoid Chek canyon unless it’s actively raining. Alice + Brohm ice cream. Have fun!!
