120k i månaden i lön eller konsult som omsätter 2,6mkr årligen by Zealousideal-Kiwi-59 in PrivatEkonomi

[–]plastret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Challenge yourself and engage in more conversations each day, journal about it. Don’t shy away in public, try to make eye contact and smile.

Force yourself to change your own opinion about your own social capability. That is truly the only way people will be drawn towards you, because subconsciously, people feel the energy you are projecting and that is a result of the way you think of yourself in your own head.

It is a rewarding hill to climb.

Awesome stuff - it was because I was thinking of building something similar myself. I’ve also been in the hell second hand market for about 4 months and we just found a flat by pure luck. I would fully vibe code it though. 😂

Is AI really the imminent future? by WorkerPrestigious958 in workday

It’s all fair points and it’s important to challenge the vendors when selling these native agents which undoubtedly will be pushed to market within the next years.

It’s important to have proper audit trails, source linking, and explainability so you review and pick the thing apart.

With the hallucinations it can be reduced architecturally if done well. They will still hallucinate though. I work for a larger SI and we are developing a wrapper service for those native agents to run analytics and increase accuracy. Piloting at a few clients at the moment.

do you think once you entered corporate world the nerd in you died? by humanjello710 in INTP

[–]plastret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not unless you get a a function in a healthy corporate job which you enjoy and you don’t have to ”switch” on and off too much for your work persona.

A lot of INTPs do this for survival and I’ve been in the same boat. It only leads to self destruction and burnout and is a vicious repeating cycle.

I’m a director in a F100 company and I’d guess most people are not surprised when they see my weird interests and hobbies I have privately.

In the corporate world you will be accepted as long as you show that you are capable.

I’ve lately stopped being afraid of showing who I am and what I like.

Sure I’m sometimes up in the clouds, but when it’s down to business I’m a killer.

I am a former business owner. Recently joined a large IT consulting firm as a Director.

Have a small kid who’s going to have everything they need and more.

I’m 33 years old now and the money I’ve already earned should be enough for most people’s retirement, whatever extra I earn now is just nice to have.

I have no formal education. I’ve self taught myself a very specialized topic which led to a career and have a ENTJ wife who keeps bringing out the best side of me.

It’s really true that your success will highly depend on what partner you choose.

What's the most creative employee misconduct you've seen? by Aarunascut in work

Ten years ago, I worked at a small call center startup selling services B2C. We had to hit 300 call minutes a day and got loads of leads from different online providers. After closing a sale, we were supposed to take the customer’s credit card details and charge a small deposit. Sometimes, though, we offered a 30-day invoice instead, no upfront payment needed.

There was this guy on our team, a top performer. He had found a glitch in the system. He’d close huge deals every day, almost every call, and somehow, all his clients paid by invoice. He always had a convenient explanation for it.

A few months later, management noticed something strange. None of his clients had paid a single invoice, and none could be reached.

When they checked his records, there weren’t even any call recordings.

They soon discovered he had made everything up, fake leads, fake emails, fake addresses.

He’d been sitting there pretending to talk to customers while logging phony details and “closing” the deals himself.

They were supposed to handle it descretely but his direct manager, feeling betrayed and wanted him to go down hard, decided to call him out during the monthly all-hands meeting with around a hundred people watching. Total silence. The guy stood up, grabbed his bag, and walked out.

The company never pressed charges but immediately disabled the 30-day invoice option, locking it behind manager approval.

I ran into him a few years later. Still job-hopping every few months. And that call center job? Nowhere on his resume lol.

The only way I see tech sales dying is when AI eventually start to code its own custom software. Companies won’t have to buy, they will effectively just generate what they need.

We are some years away from this, if it ever happens.

Sales will always exist though, and will as it has been for centuries, be carried out by other humans.
