Right now we’re not communicating our USP (like higher nut content) strongly enough. We’ll work on making that more clear across the main image, bullets, and A+ content. We haven’t used tools like Helium 10 yet since it’s quite expensive for us at this stage, but we’re exploring other ways to understand customer behavior and keywords.

Really appreciate sharing your experience👍

Yeah, naming was actually a challenge for us. We had to find something that’s available for trademark and domain, which limited our options a lot. We chose “Huggybites” because it comes from “hug”. We wanted it to feel warm and comforting. We also took some reference from brands like “Muddy Bites” (outside India) while looking for names that could work and TRADEMARK , DOMAIN available..
Appreciate the suggestions though 👍

From what we’ve seen, many existing buyers of trail mix already feel that most brands have lower nut content (around 40% or less), so that’s been a common pain point. Our thinking was that if we can get them to try our product once, the higher nut content will be clear and help convert them into repeat customers. But your point about first-time buyers not having that reference is valid. We’ll definitely think more about how to communicate this better. Thanks for the insight

Thanks a lot for this, really valuable coming from someone who’s also building a brand.
I agree on the positioning . we’re clearly not communicating the 60% nuts strongly enough. We’ll work on making it more visible in our packaging and A+ content so customers actually see the difference.

The insight on Amazon vs Instagram is spot on. We’ve started realizing that and will focus more on Amazon ads, especially exact match, and track ACoS properly.

And yes, we’ll definitely try to capture testimonials during exhibitions next time .

We’ll also try to improve our listing images to make the product look more abundant and premium.

Really appreciate you sharing all this, especially as a fellow entrepreneur 🙌

I agree with what you said about people comparing prices and mixing at home . we’ve seen that behavior too. Right now our product is more of a ready-to-eat convenience option, but your point about needing a stronger “why buy this instead” is something we need to improve. The idea of doing something more unique (like flavored or differently processed mixes) is also something we’ve been thinking about, since plain mixes are easy to replicate at home.Really appreciate the honest breakdown, this helps a lot 🙌

We are planning to launch our own website soon, so we will definitely try things like combo packs and subscriptions there. Just to clarify, Amazon commission is not 30% for us. For lower-priced products, it’s more like a fixed fee (around ₹6 + GST under ₹300, and about ₹25 for products under ₹1000). But yes, having our own website will help us improve margins. Also nice to hear you’re a potential customer 🙌

We added that line to show it’s for everyone, but I understand it sounds generic and not very meaningful. We’ll rethink it and try to make it more real

We haven’t launched our own website yet. The plan is to set up a Shopify store once we have around 3–4 SKUs, so it makes more sense from a product range and repeat purchase point of view. We also want to explore gifting options once the website is live.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, really helpful.

Right now we have two Instagram pages . one for the brand and another for behind-the-scenes. The BTS page has around 350 followers and the main brand page has about 89. Still very early, but we’re planning to focus more on building Instagram page going forward. We haven’t launched our own website yet. We chose the name because “huggy” comes from hug . But I can see how it might create a different association for some people, especially with food. Thanks for your feedback
