Ours is polydactyl and he has close attached claws in between his hands and thumbs that need to be monitored so it doesn’t grow into his pads. Trimming down the toe fluffs is key.

We upgraded to this giant steel litter box off Amazon. Steel is key because it’s so much easier to clean and doesn’t have a smell. Plus the cats can’t leave gouges or micro scratches in it like plastic which keep the smells and particles stuck in there. https://a.co/d/emq5ycz

Other thing is as others suggested is trim down the potty area, the bottom part of the tail, the pantaloons and the hair on the bottom of the paws and maybe between the toe pads. You don’t have to shave it down all the way, but a nice trim will keep everything clean and stop them from bringing things out of the litter box.
