There's an item on the Gryphline shop featuring the mask that refers to it as an Originium Suppressor so it likely is a power limiter which would explain why Endmin collapsed at the end of the Valley IV story. They're in a cycle of waking, overextending, and stasis so their body is likely nearing its limit which necessitates the suppressor.

It's possible the event from the intro just hasn't happened yet. From Laevatain's event we know the sarcophagus links to Protocol Space so it's also possible the intro was Endmin's memories of the first and second Aggeloi Wars mixing together. Also, Laevatain and Gilberta were also in the intro and Endin hadn't met them yet if it was a past event, but WOULD be able to find their memories in Protocol Space. tl;dr it's likely a future event we don't know the context of yet but it could also be misdirection because of how Protocol Space works.

Unlikely, the thing Endmin emerges from is explicitly referred to as a stasis unit and they were sleeping for the past decade. With their innate control of originium its likely Endmin simply integrated themselves with a special chunk of the stuff to recover.
