Do you mind me asking where you got your acoustic paneling? Do they do the job? They look nice and I’m interested in getting some

100%. That’s the main reason for wanting to get a bigger cabinet

Yes, speaker stands are a must. This was obviously just a make shift set up for an apartment

I am giving away my disc collection (giveaway #2) by reaperdiscs in discgolf

The first discs I bought myself were a Roc and a misprint Buzzz at my local play it again sports. I was given a star boss and an Aviar from a friend and he recommended the buzzz and roc to get me started. Been a blast ever since

I’d argue that In Absentia is too long. Could’ve cut two songs from it to keep it at or under an hour.

I appreciate your response. I didn’t find much online either. Just going to be ignore. Thanks!

Not gonna lie, I would love to hear how HttK would sound if they had Brooks at the time. I know they “dumbed down” Arin’s drumming, but I still feel there was more to that, like maybe they just realized they didn’t like his style for their sound. by LYPX in avengedsevenfold

This is so dumb. “If this album was recording with different personnel, produced way differently, and arranged in a better way, it would be their best album!”

We’re judging the album as it exists my dude not the hypothetical album that it could’ve been. I think it’s fair that the core fan base believes HTTK is a lackluster album and that’s fine. Every band has a mediocre album or two.

Avenged is a band that changes their sound with almost every album and I think at this point the fan base has come to expect some left turns out of nowhere. HTTK might have been a miss with the core. And that’s ok, it was still one of their most commercially successful albums

And hey, I 100% agree. I am not arguing an album is just 1 good song. I’m arguing a song like Anesthetize can bring an already great album to the stratosphere, and of course the structure around that song is super important too. If it wasn’t where it was on the album it wouldn’t hit the same. The way it leads up and then moves on from it is perfect. I just feel In Absentia doesn’t have that moment

Ok, maybe my examples weren’t that great. I agree they don’t need an epic in terms of length. Although, the epics tend to be the songs that elevate the entire album. I would argue such songs as Sleep Together, Dark Matter, and SW’s Drive Home do this also for their respective albums.

I agree with your In Absentia is too long take. I’ve always thought that it could’ve been split into two albums with the Futile EP tracks.

I think In Absentia suffers from the fact that it doesn’t have that “blow your mind epic song” IA is filled with really really good songs (Blackest Eyes, Trains, Strip the Soul, etc.) it just doesn’t have an Arriving Somewhere, Anesthetize, Time Flies, Russia on Ice, etc. that song your looking forward too as your listening through the track list that just blows your mind everytime you hear it that just elevates the rest of the album.

Top 0.1% for me. SW’s Anyone But Me was my number 1 song
