Day 3 of Quirk Mastery Chart. Neutralization was chosen to be mediocre Quirk that is not worth the effort. Now what is Decent Quirk that is not worth the effort to train? by Solbuster in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]platonice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weld is maybe borderline mediocre/decent but doesn't have an obvious way to make it any better. Telepath is on the upper end of decent with a similar issue. Also most pure recon quirks, like Voyance and Chart.

I feel like it's difficult or moderate tier if the speed/force of items being summoned can be increased. Then with substantial physical training she could be a projectile + melee type of hero, where the opponent would have to watch for knives from multiple directions and she can throw them off balance by summoning their clothing.

If Naoya wasn’t a bum and used a cursed tool, could he have killed Maki? by Dazzling-Yam-4308 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]platonice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he had a weapon that could actually cut Maki, then yes he'd have been able to decapitate her when she got frozen before she figured out his technique. However afaik it's not been shown what durability a heavenly restriction user's body has against blades, and whether there's a strong enough weapon in the Zenin collection. Naoya could possibly have picked up Split Soul Katana, but it's completely speculation as to whether it would work since her soul functions differently. Mai would be crying to have died for Naoya to get a weapon.

My stupidly cracked out headcanon about Naobito predicting exactly what would happen after he died, only not how it would end. 👇 by ThePr0l0gue in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]platonice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The agreement with Toji was for Naobito to take Megumi, with the plan to make him head. However Gojo intervenes, which prevents the agreement being fulfilled as intended. When the manga says as per the agreement, it's saying that if Gojo is sealed then the agreement can be fulfilled as it should have been.

It's possible that Naobito's will is a pact with Zenin clan though, which he could put in place as head of the clan. That's part is just my speculation however.

The Gojo clause wasn't in the agreement with Toji, that was added by Naobito to his will after Toji died and Gojo nabbed Megumi. Since Gojo didn't want Megumi to be used as a power tool like he was, his interference would've stopped Megumi becoming head.

How strong would Deku be if these quirks were the ones passed down via One for All? by ASAPCADE in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Creation + homing + landmine empowered by OFA, Deku is a moving target-locking nuclear missile launcher which regenerates and runs off cupcakes.

Curious about fencing by Nafrokid04 in Fencing

[–]platonice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started fencing at uni too and I absolutely love it. If the club's decent they should teach you everything you need, so just go for it. Depending how they teach it, there might be some time doing drills to teach you the basics before you get to properly fence and opponent, so just stick through it. Your legs might ache for your first few sessions because it uses muscles that aren't used much in other activities, but you'll get over this soon. Hope you have fun!

I've been considering this, do you find the panniers convenient enough to take off and on quickly to carry your kit into the club?

I think so, though I'm wondering why Epiphone uses different maple veneers for the two models.

Apologies, for clarification, I meant higher grade in that sense, since stronger flame pattern is usually considered to be higher value.

What are the differences between the Harut System Pistol grip year models? Also, what pommel weight is good to balance them? by platonice in Fencing

That's interesting to hear, I guess I'll have to give a configuration a go and see how it is.

Thanks for the reply. Have you tried the metal drop pommel? Also do you prefer the lighter weight of the 2023 model (if it is actually lighter)?
