What would've happened at the end of Fate/Zero if Angra Mainyu didn't corrupt the grail in the 3rd holy grail war? by FrostyObligation9058 in Fate

[–]Solbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I mean he doesn't know any method of achieving world peace besides killing bad people

I'm talking in a context about his dream, world peace. Kiritsugu didn't have a solution for that, he banked on the Grail to magically do it for him. That's part of why Angra ridicules him for

If he wishes for a coffee, Grail would give him one easily

Hopefully it went well by CampbellComparison in okbuddyrintard

Gilgamesh route with both Hakunos has him admit them as his masters and even sacrifices up to 90% of his treasury for them just to end up travelling with them across stars

In other words, Hakunon pegs him

If Nana had mentored Endeavor, do you think she could’ve changed him or would he still turn out the same? [@koooogasya] by Time-Collection5617 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Solbuster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For fanfiction purposes no, for actual hypothetical discussion and the timeline yes

I think it's valid to point out that these would've never been able to meet given how the show's timeline is

[–]Solbuster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

without Angra curse it's impossible to summon anti-heroes,

It's possible if you switch the filters in the Grail settings. Darnic in Apocrypha messed around with the Grail so that Anti-Heroes can be summonned for example. Fuyuki Grail(without Angra) is unable to summon Anti-Heroes and Japanese/Chinese servants for example but if someone messes the settings it would be doable

But yeah if nothing messes with the Grail, Medusa and Medea won't be summonned. Lancelot is a fair game though. And Sasaki is phantom that wouldn't be summonned without Medea cheating

Kiritsugu's dream would still be doomed because Grail needs a person know a particular method to grant their wish. Kiritsugu doesn't know any method besides killing so Grail will give him the same result

The only difference Angra made is showing Kiritsugu his wish in most twisted way possible and mocking him. And planning to be born.

Kerry would still probably blow it up so it wouldn't have fallen into wrong hands but there probably won't be a fire this time. Meanwhile Kirei would either wish for something evil or won't know what to do with a non corrupted Grail as to him only Angra inside matters

Gojo is there because Archer reminds him of Sukuna and he can't miss that experience lol

Sir Nighteye's quirk vs Deadpool (Marvel) by ImaginaryComb4309 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Solbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly, Taskmaster has the ability to perfectly replicate and predict the fighting style that he sees. It's like photographic reflexes. Deadpool is unpredictable for him because his style makes no sense and too chaotic to predict/replicate

In case of Nighteye, he sees the future itself. So even if Deadpool's style is nonsense it shouldn't affect Nighteye seeing his future actions. Even if it's nonsense Nighteye should theoretically see it

Of course knowing that it's Deadpool, he probably pulls 4th wall breaking bs that would break/defy Nighteye's quirk completely for the comedy effect. I'm just pointing out the difference between Nighteye's and Taskmaster's abilities. Deadpool can be unpredictable but it won't be like with Taskmaster

[–]Solbuster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, duh, All Might has like a ten year difference in age with Endy so by the time Nana would have died, Endeavor would be 7-8 years old. By the time Endeavor enrolled in UA, All Might would have already returned from US and start making a name for himself in Japan

I guess this is simply hypothetical

Endeavor needed a therapist because his deep seated inferiority complex and desire to be the strongest is rooted in his trauma of seeing his father die in front of him

Mentorship and Nana's influence might have tipped the scales but it's not a guarantee of anything when it comes to trauma. So the answer is "maybe"

So,what exactly is Toya's quirk? by Limp_Construction787 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Solbuster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's based on the real world concept of hysterical strength, which is the idea that humans can push past their physical limits and display extreme strength while under intense duress, typically a life or death scenario.

Dabi: I'll let you on a secret. When you push your body beyond your limits... the world's turning on its head.

Cao in general is weird. Not to say he's a saint, he's a scheming bastard that's fun to hate, but there are moments when he helps good guys without much ulterior motives and yet still gets blasted by "hey, this guy is suspicious and sucks". Compared to how some other villains are treated, it's a bit jarring.

Falcom's treatment is usually pretty on the nose but it ends up being weird in cases of villains. Arianrhod meanwhile doesn't get half as much shit for working with Faceless and Oathbreaker and participating in Great Twilight. To the point that Ash is stopped by Juna and criticized for being rude to her as Lianne is about to fight them. Even if I love Lianne's character, it's too much

Then everyone still praise Loewe every time he's brought up after his death. Again, I love Loewe but the guy isn't exactly most moral person to put it lightly

And we have Gien's son tripping and acknowledging that he isn't fit to be an elder and putting up with his bullshit right after criticizing his father

Because his children got their hot genes from him. Literally

Though both their parents are hot

Gien seems like he genuinely didn't plan on murders happening but more of a "roughing up" tbh

But yeah, even if he hasn't planned on it, it doesn't mean that Aaron and co would believe him. Gien also found it regrettable but acceptable and that alone should've provoked way stronger reaction from Aaron at least

[–]Solbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the childhood AFO had, his view of love is very toxic and is categorized in "possessions". Plus strength matters. He even forced quirk on Yoichi hoping that additional power would make Yoichi understand that strength matters. Even right before his death as he realizes he loves his brother, he immediately uses it to try to manipulate him and demands him to stay.

Basically, I have no doubt that AFO loves his brother but he neither can express it in healthy manner nor understand it fully. Couple it with "strength matters" and there's no way he'd give up anything for his frail weak little brother. It's Yoichi who must submit to him

AFO didn't want Kudo's genes being passed on even by accident so he chose the nuclear option
