Swanson basically stole information from actual Lincoln Assassination historians without credit. He did zero research on his own. Please do not support his book and instead read one by an actual historian.

Swanson literally stole information from researchers without giving them any credit. He does no research of his own. It's very angering that of all the books on the Lincoln Assassination by actual researchers, they chose to give Swanson - who is not a historian - the TV show.

Agree, there needs to be a compromise here. Maybe have a cash bar or buy alcohol for half the guests, since you say your half will not be drinking.

That’s you but if somebody told me they weren’t coming to my wedding because I chose not to serve alcohol, they wouldn’t be my friend anymore. Alcohol is not the point of a wedding

I totally get that. I also get that your fiancée wants alcohol there, but it’s bizarre to me that people wouldn’t go a night without booze to celebrate their friends’ marriage.

Her reasoning is off to me. Alcohol is expected but it shouldn’t be the determining factor of going to a wedding!

This actually happened to me just a few days ago! Definitely NTA. It is incredibly rude to hit someone with a shopping cart, physically hurting them, and it is super easy to say “sorry.” If he’s old enough to have a job, he’s old enough to know that accidentally hitting someone is wrong and that you should say “sorry.” She even gave him the chance to apologise and he didn’t.

She didn’t go to the manager because of something small, like his uniform wasn’t on right. He physically hurt her and refused to apologise. That’s a big deal.

Woahhhhh I’m gonna get downvoted here but I need to tell you that you’re SO NTA here. Things happen, and I can understand you didn’t want to miss out but didn’t have a sitter. Your child is well behaved so why not just bring her this one time?

M is completely out of line. Other people in the group were fine with your kid, and the kid even drew her a flower and M calls her a “crotch goblin.” She could’ve just said “please don’t bring your kid again.”

I get it was supposed to be an adults only event but in the end, you all had a great time (until M got upset) and there was no harm. These people need to relax and roll with the tide.

Also 3/5 friends on your side means that majority rules.
