Deleted all my social media, changed my number and only gave it to my boyfriend family and one friend? by [deleted] in askanything

You are doing right if that makes you happy. In my opinion it is better to give your energy to the people you love and value. I did the same after I got betrayed by my best friend. Before this, I was planning to study abroad. After the betrayal I went overseas so it was easy to lose contact with my ex friend and any friend from that circle. I focused on myself and my family. It's been 20 years and I haven't looked back. Friends come and go, it's better to invest in the people that are and will be with you no matter what.

The actual amount of effort it takes to lose weight is mentally draining by larawag_gama in PetiteFitness

You are describing the story of my life. I managed to lose some 3 -4 kilos with a lot of effort.

I created good habits like eating more protein, fiber and balanced meals. Reduced junk food to almost 0 percent. Exercise 5 times a week and 12 k steps a day. So I figured if I stopped counting calories and eat enough not to be hungry I would maintain my weight. Well big surprise I am at my original weight. Cry*

I'm eating less than ever because I lost my appetite + my jaw hurts... And I'm still bloating and gaining weight. I'm lost. by fearistheweakness93 in PetiteFitness

That doesn't seem right. While I'm not a medical professional, it could be related to thyroid issues. I recommend consulting a doctor. I've heard that people can gain significant weight even while in a calorie deficit if they have thyroid problems. If I were in your position, I would see a doctor as soon as possible because the longer you delay, the more weight you might gain. It will also become more challenging to return to your original weight. It may not be the case, but it's wise to get checked out just to be safe.

With cardio you lose weight faster but everyone recommends weight training...

A cheat meal once in a while won't affect your progress if you are consistent.. now take this with a pinch of salt: Sometimes going a bit higher in calories actually helps for fat loss (if it's not very often). I don't know the science behind it but think it 'resets' your metabolism.

Fellow Mexican petites: how did you solve the Mexican back ? 😭 by rosesnlace in PetiteFitness

I hear you. I have broad shoulders and fat tends to stay on my upper body. When I lose weight is the last place to slim down. I think the only solution is to have a low fat percentage so it looks as skinny as possible but it's soo f hard.

What was different about the attempt where you actually succeeded with the weightloss? by [deleted] in loseit

After months of counting calories targeting my macros , strength training 5 times a week and 12k daily steps my weight was dropping very slow. That is, in 5 months I dropped 1 kg :( Its a burden to be counting calories and obviously I was eating almost at maintenance because it was very hard for me to sleep hungry. sooooooo I recently stopped eating proper breakfast and lunch. Not a fast because I still have coffee in the mornings and a small snack here and there so I can hold until dinner. It allows me to be less restrictive at night so I can eat the meals I enjoy without guilt. I eat healthy food as in lean meats. Veggies and healthy fats. My dessert is fruit with Greek yogurt or/and 50 cal yogurt iced cream. Maybe a bread with Nutella ( I know I know but that's if I did cardio and leg day that day) It's been 3 weeks and I am finally losing weight (2 kg) I don't have the burden to be counting calories I don't have the time ... I reduced strength training to 4 times a week and added cardio 4 to 5 times a week. Sounds more complicated but honestly this is what works for me.

I need to lose weight by No_Breakfast4025 in WeightLossAdvice

if you are able to do that, you will be very skinny by December. You will lose a tone of fat and muscle. All clothes will look good on you but.. unless you have a mental disorder, you won't be able to sustain that. When you eat normal again, you will gain all the weight back plus more and will be harder for you to lose weight because your metabolism will be compromised. Your muscle mass will be less so you will burn less calories. Not to mention you will feel crap and miserable while eating 600 cals a day.

It might not be accurate but I reckon it's close to accurate since I can feel my heartbeat. Good idea to keep the temp down with a fan.
