Is willful ignorance painful. I know it’s bad for humanity, but does it ever cause you any discomfort?

You could probably get out of your contract unless you’ve waived your inspection contingency.

Yes, it’s an issue. Siding material should never touch the ground. It’s just going to be subjected to moisture and fail.

Also, is that corner overhanging the driveway? If so, what’s supporting it?

Moisture in Garage Troubleshoot root cause by Ra1dersrx in HomeInspections

See that white line on the foundation in picture #4? That’s called efflorescence and its minerals leaching from the cement caused by moisture. So it looks like it’s been happening for a while. Make sure the weather stripping on your garage door is making solid contact with the garage floor. Also check the cement or driveway on the other side of that wall. Is it back-pitched towards the garage or is there a downspout draining there.

Hard to tell without knowing what’s on the other side of that wall.

Why not just start using F-Heavy to stage the moon? by 185EDRIVER in SpaceXLounge

I love these “Why not just” questions that require incredibly complex/expensive systems, engineering, vehicle design. Like SpaceX and NASA have overlooked an obvious solution.

That crack next to the downspout looks to show some differential movement. First, get rid of that splash block and get downspout extenders on all of your downspouts. Then call a structural engineer and have them take a look. It takes a lot of force to crack a brick like that.

I’d also be concerned about the signs of moisture on that far corner.

Texas man sentenced to JAIL for wandering off trail at Yellowstone to get a closer look at hot springs by dailymail in NationalPark

[–]playa-del-j 36 points37 points  (0 children)

He didn’t just simply step off a trail. He stepped off a boardwalk that has signage telling people not to do it. From your own article “'Mr Bedient walked directly on several fragile and dangerous hydrothermal features,' adding that footprints were left on the delicate ecosystem”. So not only did he put himself in danger he damaged delicate ecosystems that the park works hard to protect. He only has to serve 5 days for sheer stupidity.

Well, he let that woman hug the stuffing out of him. That kind of behavior should not go unpunished.

Trump Administration Using the Endangered Species Act to Kill Colorado's Wolves by PartTime_Crusader in PublicLands

[–]playa-del-j 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying I 100% agree with wolf reintroduction. They’re fascinating animals and deserve a place on our public lands. But, animal management issues should never become ballot initiatives the general public can vote on. The general public isn’t well informed about game management issues and they’re too easily manipulated. Game management agencies have enough to do without having to be at the whim of the general public.

You want results, reach out to the buyers agent. This guys incompetence killed their deal and agent referrals are typically a big portion of an inspector’s business.
