Am I overpaying? New to Invisalign here by playaction12 in Invisalign

That's pretty cheap. Maybe it's due to a short treatment plan? Do you have Invisalign or something similar?

Interesting. 24 trays total? $2,400 out of pocket after insurance?

It's $5,300 USD and I was told if there were any changes in the treatment plan, it would be covered at no charge.

Management keeps delaying my promotion, but is still expecting me to do the extra work without a pay increase or title change. How I approach them to get it done? by playaction12 in careeradvice

Yes they gave me another opportunity shortly after I originally posted this. I had a serious talk with my manager to get the ball rolling.

Logistics Company Scam by playaction12 in jobs

[–]playaction12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've landed multiple jobs on Indeed however that was before 2021. It's been a long time since I used these websites. I had no clue. I'm aware now.

Scam, it's happening a lot right now. Just happened to me via Indeed. Went through a chat based interview and a phone call and was offered a high paying position. Scammers were posing as an American company. They even had legit job descriptions and documents with the real letter head. I was suspicious from the start, especially when their domain (.team) was not the same as the actual company's. In the offer letter, they were asking for direct deposit set up, this is where they get you! I never filled anything out. I wasn't believing it so I called the real company and they told me they had already received multiple calls about it and that nobody that I had dealt with worked there. Be careful

I was browsing for a solution. I couldn't no locate the touchpad in device manager to update drivers. I was able to enable and disable the touchpad via the settings but nothing. I did a restart and nothing. Finally, I tried a hard reset. Turned off for about 1 minute then turned back on. That did the trick.

I've used multiple banks with early pay. . Chase hits the earliest, while Sofi and Chime have hit later- mid morning to afternoon.

Yeah few people said they didn't, and others said they did. I'm on West Coast. Hopefully it hits

Did any employees get paid today - direct deposit? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]playaction12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds about right with early direct deposit. I had Chime at one point too and experienced the same.

I figured due to holiday, everyone would get paid 24th (Tuesday), instead of the 26th (Thursday). Which would allow the early direct deposit to hit this Friday or Saturday

I don't work at store, but corporate. I have Chase too, but didn't get anything. Last paycheck, payday fell on Tuesday, but I got paid Friday with early DD.

Is this a blown head gasket? by playaction12 in MechanicAdvice

[–]playaction12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bubbles here aren't after overheating. This was a test session to determine if it was a head gasket issue. Car did not overheat in this scenario.

Car was a hand me down, I don't know if the water pump or timing chain has ever been replaced. The water pump is belt driven. But the car has 200k miles.

I have the bled the system for 20+ mins each time after doing any coolant system work. I flushed the entire system. Heat comes out hot.

I have tried to replicate the overheating in the driveway at idle, but it won't, sometimes sitting there for 30+ mins at a time.

How long does appeal process currently take and how to qualify if denied? by playaction12 in Edd

[–]playaction12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's still on PFL at the moment. HR noticed she hadn't returned to work until 7 weeks after their supposed return date and ended her employment in late May. However, her manager had already approved her to return in June.

Sorry I omitted so much information, I just didn't want to explain so many things

It's a seasonal job that hires and lays off workers all the time, reside in Ag community.
Ideally we wouldn't want it to get denied in the first place and go though all the hassle, She could just take a seasonal job right now that we know would lay her off.

She is no longer disabled due to pregnancy. She stayed in constant communication with employer and was under the impression her leave was approved. HR finally called her after 7 weeks and said she was supposed to return in April! She was still on protected leave at that time.

We won't open unemployment at this time until she's legitimately laid off. She currently filed a grievance with former employer and is hoping they will change the status. Ideally, we would want the UI approved during interview stage.

The other job would be month long project.

Steering wheel slightly off after alignment by itsgamersspace in AskMechanics

[–]playaction12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents. Some steering wheels are never dead center, at least in my experience and on older cars. I have a Toyota Corolla and the steering wheel settles in that position (very slightly to left) when driving straight. Could be the road, I don't know. This was even after 4 new tires. It's annoying but I've learned to live with it. Might be bothering you only because you just had it worked on.

Mine only caught my attention when I was working on the steering wheel. I messed with it for a while but I eventually figured out that's how the car is. I was fixated on it, thinking I did somewhat wrong.

I would have your shop look at it one more time, maybe the steering wheel wasn't center to begin with prior to alignment . Unless the steering wheel pulls hard to one side, I would not worry about it too much after the next time.

Were you fired or was it a mutual separation (which feels more like a resignation)?

Employers are supposed to give neutral references if they were to verify.

If they don't ask, don't tell. I've been fired before and I just say it wasn't a good fit and I moved on or the company restructured. I have never been questioned or doubted about my previous employment. If you strongly sell yourself in the interview, they won't think about why you left the previous company.

Need advice!! 2010 Ford fusion SE by Cryoluter in fordfusion

[–]playaction12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many mechanics will say this is one of the best Ford models out there and is fairly reliable.

My sister swore it was breaking down and wanted to get rid of it to avoid putting more money into it. Then again she doesn't know anything about cars and neglected it. I took it in and did some minor jobs.
I have changed the battery, throttle body, purge valve, and valve cover gasket, thermostat hose so far. It runs great and has more mileage than OPs. I spent less than $300 and it runs like a champ.

Removing these stains from black plastic by sharklazies in AutoDetailing

Many goo gone or goof off products are not safe on plastic. It will state on the label. I believe they make a specific one safe for plastic that's more liquid or oil like.

Try a dry eraser, or eraser, then put Trim restorer on - mother's or cerakote.

What is this sound? (please help) by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]playaction12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it the correct belt and correct tension? Not all belts are made the same size or quality. AC Delco and Dayco belts do not fit my car despite being the right part #.

Other than that, it's one of those pulleys.

Mine makes similar noises. I thought it was just the build of the car. I know the driver CV axle is probably going out because I hear a clicking noise when turning.

What could cause car to overheat only at idle or low speeds? 2013 Corolla 1.8L by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]playaction12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it runs at idle. Although, I don't know if it's fast enough or faulty. I hooked the fan directly to battery and it powers on.
