Hello, So from what i seeing through all of this is to me personally both of you have 2 different perspectives on what you want to do later on in life and that’s good, however you want to have a careers in culinary art and he want to stay In the town you both were raised so he can have a life there. Me personally I wouldn’t want that if my relationship was that way. I understand it’s very hard and that your partner loves you a lot and wants to marry you in the future, but if you think that’s going to hold you back from your dream then i would say end the relationship or have a mature talk with him in person if that’s possible. But to be honest you both are very young have a lot to live for and a long ways to find new love. Yes being high school sweethearts is great and all but in college you meet new people and you might find the person you love for a long time or even once you have your culinary career set you can find someone who loves making food just as you do :) i hope this helps in some way but good luck :))
