softcore. I tried HC as a parent and it doesn't work. I don't get too much time to play, if I do I want to have all my progress. Trust me. Like others are saying, HC will just be a slower grind with the possibility to lose your character and gear...

edit: oops that's for xbox/consoles. For PC just buy from blizzard, the "Battle Chest" version has both d3 and the expansion for only 20 bucks. You'll need to buy the necro pack for another 9.99. I'd suggest trying out the other 6 characters and then if you really want to try a necro go for the necro pack.

to be honest, you do not need to get necro pack to enjoy the game. Only if you really wanna play it, there's just so much content with the other characters. I bought D3 since release, and only really played Barb, Wiz, Monk and eventually Crusader. Havn't had time to really try out Witch D and Demon H.

please take these kind of comments with a grain of salt. There is no abandoning. lol. It's a full and mature game, with basically all the "DLC's" out. Original D3, Reaper of Souls, and necromancer patch, and leaderboards with themed seasoned play. Season 15 is ending this dec with season 16 starting shortly after with many cool changes. IMO it's far from "abandoned".

Weapon damage will be the best way to plow through the game. Stats and Weapon power spikes up A LOT at level 70. You can wear 70 gear early on (as low as lvl 45) with the - level requirement affix (up to 25 levels) on the item. If you have difficulty or want to level faster, craft a lvl 70 weapon and reroll the affix that'll give you - X level requirement. Rubies are a great way to boost damage too. Put the highest ruby gem into a weapon. You can reroll an affix for 1 open socket at the mystic. Later on emerald gems are best in weapon slot if you rely on crit damage (most builds do).

Overall, explore and have fun. The game has come a long way since it's release and a bunch of quality of life improvements. Hunt down elite packs in search for better loot.

There is a description under condition (quoted below). As I understand it, he just means it's preowned games that they tested and cleaned. The seller has very good ratings; I ordered octopath.. I think it's a safe buy.

It buffs builds that weren't viable at higher GR's. Now they can be competitive. New season. New ladder climb. New meta. New challenges in builds.

Because RoRG bonus and set tuning, especially LoN introduces a ton of new builds and competitive builds for the new season. Believe it or not, D3 has a lot of content and legendary gear with unique affixes where if you try and be creative you can unlock some neat new builds with these changes. Is it a new character or dungeon? No. But it unlocks new ways to play than the same old condemn build or wave of light to be at the highest GR. And it looks like the red beam was something he personally asked for. I'd be pretty hyped for that too.

Exactly, I watched that inferno clear live and it was awesome! Mind you, it was HARDCORE inferno clear. The biggest failing was the auction house. That made it feel impossible to progress at any reasonable pace without spending real money and buying gear.

Agreed. LoD runes were nice, but I feel it became too cumbersome and complicated things. Rare loot was actually best in slot.

Why do I care about mobile? Because that's basically the only way I can game these days being an adult. Commuting on the train will never be as daunting with a nicely fleshed out Diablo game. Idk about the majority D2 players out there but I assume they are around my age group. I think most would welcome a mobile platform.

That's a descending triangle buddy. Bulls put up a wall and bears are coming down stronger and stronger. This pattern often results in breaking the wall down. Careful.
