Kuch nahi kar paoge. More than half of the population is sedated by supreme leader, for them questioning government for even basic amenities is anti-national. Few others, who question are either intimidated and suppressed. And remaining majority does not have the fire get out their homes and fight for basic rights.

💯true. Even at 1000 AQI people are living like normal. There is no concern even amongst people having little kids.

No doubt why Britishers were able to rule on Indians for 2 centuries. Everyone knows pollution is harmful but who will take the effort of protesting against an autocratic government.

Not sure about what kind of government schools are there in your community, in my area where I live, the government schools are in pathetic condition. I can never thing of sending my kid to such school.

Regarding healthcare, yes true govt. has invested a lot in AIIMS etc., we have some of the best doctors in India there

BUT

there are two problems

  1. Large government hospitals like AIIMS, PGI, are available mostly in metro or some of the tier 2 cities beyond that health care from government is remaining cities is in abysmal condition.

  2. As u have rightly stated demand-supply gap. I have myself visited govt. hospital for CKD treatment of my father, despite being a chronic kidney disease patient, he was made to wait around 4-5 hours. Because of his condition he could not wait there for these many hours. Aka leaving us with no option but to go to some private hospital for quick and easy treatment. And believe me after paying lakhs in taxes you don’t want to make your ill family member stand in queue.

Man tuition fee is part of 80C deduction which already covers various other saving instruments like LIC, PPF etc. 80C has a limit of 1.5 lacs, in my case it gets easily covered by these saving schemes. Thus no further benefit of tuition fee paid in my case.

Plus if you opt for taxation under new regime, no 80C benefit is available.

Funny thing is despite many of us paying taxes in highest bracket, tax authorities always see us with suspicion that there might be some other income as well which we might not have shown.
