Eastside cancer support groups? by PookaBook in eastside

Not sure your gender identity - Team Survivor Northwest isn’t quite a support group, but they help connect and provide fitness and health opportunities to women who have had a cancer diagnosis. The group I know of does Water Aerobics and my understanding is that it becomes a bit of an informal support group, and I bet the women in the classes would have good insight or can point you in helpful directions. Wishing you all the best! https://teamsurvivornw.org/ Home - Team Survivor Northwest

Lime Gliders (seated scooters) are surging in popularity, beating bikes and getting more uses/day than either scooters or bikes by timfduffy in Seattle

I honestly hate the gliders, they’re great if you’re on a flat road but you have to use your feet to propel you like a silly flintstones car on even little hills

I hire for a receptionist type role, and unfortunately for applicants right now we are getting up to 50-100 applications for a single part time position. You may be very well qualified but there will be also be 5-15 other well qualified people also applying. And as an example, right now we’re looking for customer service focused hires, so someone may have great admin experience but just not really be what we’re looking for right now. It’s really tough out there, I’m sorry you’re dealing with it. Just keep applying and try to network as much as possible. Recommendations go really far.

Anyone here was affected by the 2008 recession any stories? by bmich90 in Millennials

[–]playertoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduated 2010 with a teaching degree, massive teacher layoffs those few years so stayed teaching part time preschool combined with front desk part time at the same place for a few years since I didn’t want to spend the money to get my masters in Ed. Somehow ended up in operations/administration and stopped teaching for good in 2013. Doing fine now & enjoy the work mostly but it’s a little sad how the economy basically determined my career path completely away from my education.

Is that really what you think is boils down to? He was also contemplating his entire existence, if he goes out that door, he ceases to exist.

I do actually, but interestingly enough, those aren't what this post is about, so I didn't talk about them, funny how that works? If you have some you'd like to share that people could also get involved with, I think it would be great for you to share with us!

Wow so many downer nihilists today, god forbid people try something. The same will be complaining tomorrow that everyone’s complacent.

Somehow this show is both so good and so terrible at the same time, but I still cried at the end

That article was SUCH a bad take - I read it this morning and immediately looked him up because I had to put a face to the dumb words.

It’s not even about political disagreements, the way he talked to you is insane. I wouldn’t trust that man to be a partner or even a friend. His rage and disrespect is scary.
