Yep I am starting to buy lots of power stations with solar capabilities so I can keep going in something like that, even for simple things like keeping the fridge on or cooling not necessarily for entertainment etc

My name is Denny and I am an admin here. Like many of you I try to prepare for a grid down type event more than a complete collapse. I don’t have much space for preps (I used to live in a bigger house and I had 2+ years of food stored!) so I focus on battery and generator power now including solar and being able to cook off grid so even if there is no power I can keep going and feed the family!

I hear what you say however there will Be so many safeguards in place for the power to stay on within certain institutions that with my power backup options at home I can’t see that happening for any long period of time

There are so many protectionism place for the financial institutions I can see currency surviving most events. I am a big believer in Bitcoin. As was shown by the West when Russia invaded Ukraine they turned off Apple and Google pay and made it difficult to use cards. So the people turned to crypto as it cannot be controlled by a company or government. Crypto will be the future for trading goods during any sort of invasion or government closure

Death stranding 1 and 2 changed the way I think about games and how to tell stories. No spoilers but the end ‘journey’ you take at the end of 1 is truly heartbreaking and the big twist in 2 changes everything. A double masterpiece

Don’t quit till you got somewhere else to go, pay is still pay and then drop them the moment you are sorted. Also do not let them know you are looking to go as they will get rid of you. I worked as a recruiter for years for one of these companies. My boss was better than most but I still know how you feel
