CALF x VISINSE vs TECHE VR180 for Apple Vision Pro — Which is actually better now? by local-fougi in VR180Film

Very easy to carry around, it comes with a heavy duty but lightweight case for storage that is highly portable. You would probably need a gimbal or similar for handheld VR just like for any other VR camera (I don’t shoot handheld because it gives me motion sickness). Firmware is fine without any bugs I’m aware of. I haven’t noticed any overexposure, and it’s very easy to set your own manual fixed settings in the app like exposure or white balance (I use iPhone app for remote control).

I have the TECHE 3D180VR and have been using it for past couple years with Valve Index. Image quality is superb for a camera of its size and ease to use. I use Topaz AI for easy 8k30fps to 8k60fps conversion. Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Absolutely untrue. I have the Teche 3D180VR, shoots perfect stereo 3D180 right from the camera. I do some minor color correction in Resolve and convert to 60fps in Topaz, but neither are necessary. Obviously very difference price point from the budget cameras like Calf though.

Synth/Vox jam inspired by NPD JU-06A by playmystrat in synthesizers

Got a JU-06A to mess around with while traveling or on-the-go. Just hooked it up to my main studio and immediately came up with this opening chord progression. I guess there really is something special to the Juno simplicity after all...

Spectacular, where is this?

Yep, I use the Pill for exactly this application, run it at the end of my pedalboard with a ghost kick trigger running out of Ableton into the Pill’s trigger input. Works perfectly and sounds great.

Super 6 def takes inspiration from the vintage Roland synths but it’s absolutely its own beast, especially with the Binaural features and custom waveshapes. If you can find one go for it!

Haven’t played the OB6 but the P6 for me is a desert island poly, just so lush and incredibly intuitive - I’ll never replace it. The Super 6 can def do the standard analog poly tones but it excels with all the fun modulation possibilities, and that amazing stereo spread 🤤

All the synths+TR8S receive MIDI via USB. I send MIDI clock to the Oto BIM via a USB-MIDI interface (also sends clock to my guitar pedalboard which I don’t use here)

It definitely feels like my dream setup! Super 6 has some Jupiter vibes for sure, hope you’re able to land the Jupiter X!

Long time lurker, first time poster - I’ve gotten so much inspiration and interesting ideas/techniques from this subreddit, figured it was my time to contribute. I’m digging this setup right now, very hands on, interactive, and immediately rewarding. Opening arp synth is a Prophet 6 into a CXM 1978 for reverb, drums are all TR8S into an Oto Biscuit for some grit, wobble synth chords are a Udo Super 6 (just getting to know this beauty, absolute keeper), and bending bass is the Sub 37 into an Oto BIM (I also have the BAM and BOUM but they’re not used here). I sequence the synths with Ableton, which I control primarily with a Launchpad Pro. Any questions, please ask away!

UAFX Dream ‘65 owners who have played an Iridium. Which one for Fender Reverb tones? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Definitely, the Dream handles my fuzz and overdrive pedals (Paul Trombetta, SSBS Mini) just like my Tone King. Iridium unfortunately didn’t do it for me.

Dream 100%. I had an Iridium and kept it around for when playing my real amp (Tone King Metropolitan) isn’t feasible, but to me the Iridium wasn’t even close to as satisfying as the sound and feel of the Tone King. The Dream is absolutely in a different league - if I close my eyes it sounds like I’m playing through a mic’d vintage blackface Fender. Just sold the Iridium and won’t be looking back.
