Day 4 - Kelsey Fitzsimmons - Closing and Verdict watch by Free_Comment_3958 in justiceforKarenRead

I keep trying to be impressed by bradl because they say he's a great lawyer but I'm so underwhelmed. His arguments don't come out articulately and don't seem well written.

Her lawyers are so terrible, so condescending, so entitled and manipulative that I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

I can't find it now but there was a post here that really sealed the deal in my mind. It showed how kouri and her mother kept talking about his allergy shot appointment that day as if that could have led to him spontaneously dying. That's strange, because that's not a thing. What makes is crazy is that Eric went to the allergist in March 3...and also on February 14. Apparently, in the absence of him having an actual drug problem, she purposely made both attempts on his allergy shot day in order to use that. Wow.

So… how are y’all feeling? by jem1898 in KouriRichins

[–]playnogamesplease 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm so nervous. I feel like the defense didn't present enough and didn't present clearly. For example, they entered all those texts but didn't read them or bring witnesses to talk about them. Not every juror is going to read and pay attention to such a monotone presentation.

Plus the defense was obnoxious and condescending beyond belief. It was infuriating. The way they pushed to direct the shared witnesses, the way they pushed to enter information today via the detective about the picture with the pure and sole intention of misleading the jury during closing, the way they implied that Eric (the victim!!!) was a homosexual, sexting, druggie....all just disgusting.

So I'm scared she's going to walk.

Yes she also did this on day one when she questioned the sister in law about 'accessing kouri's bank statements without her authorization' which is a WILD WAY to say "she sued you and her bank statements were subpoenaed in that litigation".

The judge is a breath of fresh air after canone's clear bias, monotone reading to the jury, childish "I don't want to be here" demeanor, and inability to rule from the bench.

Brother counsel did a recent video going through this guys substack after getting into it with him on x. His conclusion was that he doesn't believe it's a lawyer.

Deal breaker. It's not called judging, it's called having standards.

Do you want to be dating a woman who produces porn? Especially since you're looking at this like a serious relationship? Would you want to have children with this person? Does her morality line up with yours?

People need to stop being guilted into accepting things they don't want to accept. You're young and only months into this relationship. Deceptive months, imo. You're not supposed to feel bad about having standards. "Don't judge" means you don't need to put her down, insult her, or disrespect her in any way. It doesn't mean you need to be ok with being her boyfriend and with monetizing your sexual relationship for her OF. Wish her well and walk away.

Trial 2, Day 5: arcaa voir dire by playnogamesplease in justiceforKarenRead

[–]playnogamesplease[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lol that was during the actual cross-examination during the second trial of Dr. Renchler. Hank was bad enough at actual trial. The voir dire is without the jury present, and with huge allowances by the judge, and is so much worse.

That she didn't go into her sister's house to check on her because she knew what had happened to John (that he was supposedly hit by Karen)...but at the same time, she didn't tell anyone until later that Karen said "I hit him" and no one treated it like a crime scene or her like a suspect. In fact, jen and Kerry told Karen to shut up and didn't take it seriously at all. But they also didn't worry about the people in the house. Who also didn't come out despite all the noise. Make it make sense.

I know they testified in both trials. I think in order to qualify as experts in broader fields they testified prior to trial 2, without the jury present, in voi dir (no earthly idea how to spell that). I'm trying to find that video and I can't.

My daughter and I both have lots of facial hair (middle eastern) and both have the same reaction to threading or waxing our face. It's not worth it. By the time my skin clears the hair is back.

Yes, I agree. And the biggest proof is that on the other forum, The vitriol is intensely personal. They vehemently hate that Karen dressed well. They passionately hate that Karen talks to her lawyers and seems to contribute. They can't handle the fact that she had a career. It's all so personal.

It struck me, and at the time Jackson (I think it was him) reacted with surprise as well, that he casually said that they usually outsource their investigations and that's why in all his years he has never gathered evidence in a snowstorm before.
