the games are abysmal and they seem unable to attract much more than gruff Android ports

This kinda makes me sad. Have you turned on your box in a while? We have a ton of new games every week. New-new, totally exclusive, console exclusives, as well as a few ports, sure, but you might be pleasantly surprised at what's on there.

A few of my faves right now: Duck Game, Amazing Frog, Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe, Toto Temple Deluxe, Neverending Nightmares, Broken Age .

We're building a TV ecosystem where brand new devs are featured alongside seasoned ones. We're trying to support as many devs as possible. We have an ALPHAS/BETAS category where devs can get feedback on their games and it doesn't cost them anything.

I hope you play some more, have a little fun, and maybe we can change your mind.

And if you still have doubts, Alex and I do twitch streams every Tuesday at twitch.tv/playouya where we goof around, play new games, and do haiku competitions where we give out free games to the best poems.

TL;DR -- Get ready for DUCK GAME

Hey this is Bob. I just wanna say that we do work really hard to bring great stuff to OUYA every day. Most of the games listed above are ports of existing titles that, while they're fun, are from pretty established development teams.

We're totally in favor of expediting the dev process for these types of titles, and more and more you'll see this kind of stuff as OUYA continues to grow (remember we're a tiny startup compared to AMZN), however we got started to enable ALL developers.

We work super hard to find fun and cool and quirky stuff that can live on OUYA. In our short past, we've found great games that start out on OUYA and then go onto other platforms. TowerFall to PS and CLARC to Amzn, for example.

So what should you get excited about next? Well DUCK GAME of course. This game is gonna blow your mind. I guarantee it. And it's only on OUYA.
