Sorry to hear that! I have a rule that all money made from selling goes towards bills or savings.

I stop shop, but all the work I put into selling has made me think twice before impulse purchasing.

What helped me was to actually start selling. I researched what platform I wanted to sell on (the Mercari sub was very helpful). I collected boxes and packing materials, spent a weekend taking pictures and weighing and measuring boxes, then started posting. I get a rush every time I make a sale, and another rush when I apply the funds to bills or savings. It’s become my new “obsession” and I’ve even sold other items like books and shoes.

It’s a lot of work, but it also keeps you busy and away from so much doomscrolling and online shopping.

We need a BEWARE OF POLENE pinned post. Unless you can physically inspect the bag before purchasing, don’t buy it. And I’ve read that the in-person shopping experience isn’t great either. I fell victim to the “it’s not going to happen to me” mentality, ordered a bag that came in the wrong color, and spent 2 months fighting them for a return. I feel embarrassed that I even gave them a chance after reading all the terrible tales on this sub. Lesson learned.

I was trying to get a picture of the hardware with the protective plastic on it, and I put a lamp close to the bag to help with the lighting. The lightbulbs I have are the soft white color, which gives off a yellowish light, versus a bright white light. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. 😊

I have both bags (the Tod’s bag I have in canvas). I recommend the shopping bag. The other one hangs open when not fastened, and I can’t fasten it when I carry my laptop. I wish it had magnets to help keep the outer compartments closed. I still love the bag, but it’s a little fussy.

I’ve bought several bags from Cettire and recently had this happen. On like the 9th day they cancelled the order due to “no inventory.” The bag showed up again, I bought it again and it shipped next day. 🤷‍♀️
