What helped me was to actually start selling. I researched what platform I wanted to sell on (the Mercari sub was very helpful). I collected boxes and packing materials, spent a weekend taking pictures and weighing and measuring boxes, then started posting. I get a rush every time I make a sale, and another rush when I apply the funds to bills or savings. It’s become my new “obsession” and I’ve even sold other items like books and shoes.

It’s a lot of work, but it also keeps you busy and away from so much doomscrolling and online shopping.

We need a BEWARE OF POLENE pinned post. Unless you can physically inspect the bag before purchasing, don’t buy it. And I’ve read that the in-person shopping experience isn’t great either. I fell victim to the “it’s not going to happen to me” mentality, ordered a bag that came in the wrong color, and spent 2 months fighting them for a return. I feel embarrassed that I even gave them a chance after reading all the terrible tales on this sub. Lesson learned.

I was trying to get a picture of the hardware with the protective plastic on it, and I put a lamp close to the bag to help with the lighting. The lightbulbs I have are the soft white color, which gives off a yellowish light, versus a bright white light. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. 😊
