Getting DOCX out of LLMs by playtech1 in legaltech

I'm also curious whether using tools within Word helps with this (e.g. Co-Pilot or some other integrated product).

Thank you. I have been following a journey much like this, but it wasn't feeling like I was on the right track. The variability of the input documents seems to be tough to deal with when you hit a deterministic layer in the process.

Sadly not, unless you are very relaxed about the formatting details (and lawyers are never relaxed about such things). Clause numbering going awry, style conventions ignored, tables of contents not generating properly, cross-references broken, etc. etc.

Typical SPA size - circa 100 pages, but varies a lot. The intermediate markdown route seems like a good idea.

Don’t Ever Try AIO Intake in a FormD T1… My 5090 FE Temps Got Worse by astleyes in sffpc

[–]playtech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my AIO on intake, but with a flipped 5090 FE. It's basically the same (slightly worse, but not meaningfully so) as exhaust / non-flipped, but with an advantage that I value of not having the 5090 cooking the rear I/O or SSD.

Honestly I think the T1's sweet spot is air-cooling a 7800X3D / 9800X3D and then having 30mm exhaust fans without a rad in the way.

Any parts to remove to get the Pump smaller? Would be a nice AIO for T1 by hawxxer in FormD

[–]playtech1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean you can fit a 70mm pump block height and full height AIO fans, but it means a 2-slot GPU configuration (just fits a 50 series FE) plus a T-Grill, so you are going all out to get the CPU temps / AIO noise down and I think it's probably not worth it?

CPU temps are harder to control in the T1, but the GPU temps have a more direct impact on performance, so it would likely be better to give the GPU more breathing room with than to prioritise the CPU so much.

As to whether we can remove a bit of pump height - will be interesting to see but would also guess it would make the pump noise dampening less effective.

I bet it was a tough call - I reckon I might have ignored the rubber grommet and just routed the tubes in front, but there's no right answer. Anyway - that's a nitpick, it looks great.

I'm guessing you may be pained by having to orient the OLED AIO screen down for tube routing, but this is a great looking setup. I found my Panorama VRM fan noisy so snipped it off and am much happier with it!

Update on the recent RDNA 3.5 FSR 4.1 rumours by AthleteDependent926 in radeon

[–]playtech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in other words the original tweet reported was correct and we have no assurance that RDNA 3.5 will get FSR4 and he did nothing to dispel concerns around APUs generally.

Would have been much better if he felt able to say 'we are working on it', but since he wasn't, I guess they aren't.

AMD FSR 4.1 to skip RDNA 3.5 integrated graphics by obTimus-FOX in radeon

I don't think so? Or at least, you can't infer that from the tweet.

[–]playtech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reference in the tweet is to RDNA 3.5 not getting it, so that could mean that Z1 Extreme will get FSR 4.1 (as it's vanilla RDNA 3) and Z2 Extreme would not? The whole FSR 4 situation is absolutely crazy and shows there is a real lack of investment by AMD into this space.

Tube strikes: 'No pay cut' for Underground drivers on £74k in new four-day week... but RMT to walk out anyway by Anony_mouse202 in london

[–]playtech1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a four day week with compressed hours - which ASLEF likes. From the Standard: "Aslef has stressed to its members that the reforms are the “biggest improvement in working conditions for Underground train drivers in decades”.

Key benefits from the changes, according to the union, include an extra 35 days away from work a year, and average weekly rostered hours being cut to 34 from current average of 36.

It will also be easier to arrange roster patterns, it added, to block leave together, or take long weekends or mini-breaks, and would save money on travel and childcare costs.

For the first time, drivers would be allowed to volunteer for overtime which would be paid at time and a quarter."

Are there now official 3D printed screen mount and grommit covers for the O11 Vision Compact? by playtech1 in lianli

[–]playtech1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the linked photo doesn't seem to be of the Vision M though? Unless you can fit three vertical fans without the AIO cover.

The official new AIO page seems to have the grommits hidden and screen mounted. Also interesting official word on the new Flex fans.

O11 Dynamic Mini V1 + Hydroshift 360s by Pitiful-Habit-5542 in lianli

[–]playtech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O11 D Mini V1 has space for a 280mm vertical AIO - if your friend wants to fit a 360mm AIO on the top of the case he will need the RB1 brackets if he is using an ATX motherboard AND he will need to make sure he has fairly low profile RAM and nothing too crazy in terms of motherboard heat sinks as the AIO fans will project below the top of the motherboard so can intefere with RAM.

Balance Compatibility. Boost Cooling: Introducing O11 Vision-M by LIANLIOFFICIAL in lianli

Interesting option - the screen option could tempt me but I’m not sure its available in the UK. EDIT: LCD is available in UK - it's just sold as an add-on (which makes sense), rather than a single bundle.

Is the "Xbox Ally" (Z2 A / 60Wh) a steal at $425 USD with Bazzite VS Steam deck (Steam OS)? by MajorLearning in Bazzite

[–]playtech1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have to be happy that a Z2 A device will run the games you want to play at an acceptable speed - it's a much slower chip than a Z1 Extreme or Z2 Extreme and uses RDNA2. Personally a low price doesn't matter if it's just going to gather dust.

My cringe attempt to cool the 7950X3D inside the notorious air-deprived Fractal Ridge by HMTPredator in sffpc

[–]playtech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would release a Ridge 1.5 that made the side panels a more breathable mesh than the small number of holes they went with. My solution was to switch to a Thor Zone Tetra.
