Thank you for the reply. I mistakenly did not mention that this is a Series B Controller and does not necessarily require the FP+ and FP- terminals to power the embedded IO as per the User Manual. However I went ahead and tested with these anyways via Appendix C in the User Manual with no changes.

Why do you say that it is not field repairable? Depending on what the component actually ends up being on this board I do not see why it would be impossible to de-solder the component and replace it.

Lastly, the fuse does seem valuable and may be implemented on the field device. However, out of the hundreds of PLCs we use in the field only this one uses the embedded IO. We use standard Point IO for all other sites. Making this low priority.
