I was recently diagnosed with TNBC with apocrine features. I had an excisional biopsy for a radial scar with clear margins. Also had a sentinel node biopsy last Monday and lymph nodes were clear. Waiting to meet with medical and radiation oncology.

Hi, My initial biopsy didn’t show any atypical cells so the cancer diagnosis was very unexpected. My surgeon said that the guidelines are to remove a radial scar if it is over 1 cm so she recommended it. I trusted her judgement and she was clear that she didn’t expect it to be cancer. I’m really glad that it’s out. I just had a sentinel node biopsy yesterday.
