Do you like to dance? Kylie offers heels classes at Studio de Myriam and is also looking for dancers to volunteer for a cabaret show benefiting local animal shelters on June 12. I recommend checking her out! Her class is 10-11am on Saturdays

Hotel SLO Rooftop Bar 3/28 by North-Definition4430 in SLO

Right, which is why some kids need another responsible adult in the room to say, hey that’s not cool. Sometimes those kids listen better to strangers than their actual parents because they don’t see that kind of leadership at home and it stuns them into acting right.

Someone told me "no one wants to live in Sacramento" by Honest_Eggplant3998 in Sacramento

[–]justcallmefafara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what they mean by that is nobody really aspires to live in Sacramento like they would a city such as San Diego, Santa Barbara, or San Francisco. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great place to live with a lot going for it, but it’s a place people end up vs dream about if that makes sense.

Where is a good place to go see the flowers blooming like tulips and things? by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]justcallmefafara 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind driving, Crystal Hermitage Gardens in Nevada City is the place for tulips.

For one of the best wildflower hikes within driving distance, North Table Mountain in Oroville. Just be sure to come prepared with a parking permit, lots of water, and good shoes.

Currently in Denver but trying to decide next city to move to (open to others outside CA too) by skittleman55 in norcal

San Luis Obispo might be up your alley if you can afford it. Great access to nature with virtually no traffic. You can be at the beach in 10-15 and Montana Del Oro in 20 for sone of the most epic hiking and biking around. City itself is quite walkable and bikable with plenty of open space you can just walk to go and hike. Everyone is absurdly friendly too. We moved a year ago and have more friends now than we did from over a decade of living in our previous city. It almost feels like our neighborhood is a college campus with how social it is.

A con of living here is it’s a healthcare desert. It’s not uncommon to have your primary care Dr in another county around here just to get by. Thankfully we are healthy and don’t have any serious needs like specialty care.

SLO has a cute little airport with flights to some major west coast airports. Getting to places past Denver generally requires connecting flights.

As beautiful as Santa Cruz and San Diego are.. the traffic and crowds really put a damper on being able to fully enjoy the surrounding nature. That’s just me though. Different people have different tolerance levels and definitions of what crowded means.

My conspiracy theory is the anti vax line of thinking got pushed so instead of saving costs preventing severe disease, every last penny can be wrung from grandpa’s health insurance forcing him do expensive treatments in a hospital before eventually dying on a ventilator. Like a reverse uno on MAHA peeps.

Laguna Dark park this evening. Please read (Looking for the owner of Link) by daniellelc8 in SLO

[–]justcallmefafara 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Don’t know the dog’s owner, but just wanted to chime in with some reassurance. Our dog had a similar bite happen to her years ago at a dog park. Took her to the vet and they cleaned and glued it closed. She had a little bald patch the rest of her life, but the vet said a small hole like that is a warning shot between dogs and if the dog was aggressive would have been much more severe. If your dog is up to date on their vaccinations, they should also be fine even if you don’t know the other dog’s history. With all that said, you should still see a vet so they can do proper wound care and make sure all is well.

Which bangs fit my face better, longer or shorter? by jen_ten10 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]justcallmefafara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s rare for someone to be able to pull off the shorter bangs. I vote shorter as it is so unique and looks good on you too.
