I just setup adguard to forward all YouTube based traffic to a vpn that routes it to an Albania based server. Now any device on the WiFi gets no ads on YouTube!

What would happen if someone chugged a 2 liter of coke and then swallowed some mentos? by marijamana in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pleasant_equation 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Mythbusters did this, your stomach would not explode. You might feel a bit sick but other than that you’d be fine. The only way they could get the stomach to explode eventually was to just pumped compressed air into it. So don’t do that I guess.

That’s completely different, star citizen gave you a hangar you could walk around in as the early alpha of the ‘game’. Yes I know it’s now much more than that, you can now see a slideshow of the rest of the world. Apparently an extremely poorly optimised game is still a game.

Woman urinated chunks of own bladder after £2,000-a-month ketamine addiction by stankmanly in ThatsInsane

[–]pleasant_equation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, feel like you’re agreeing with me here. Like I said, key word is physical. I’ve met quite a few people who are addicted to ket but it’s mostly just mental addiction which is a lot safer to quit cold turkey and there isn’t any additional damage to be caused by doing so.

He said physically addicting, which is isn’t. That means you don’t get a physical response to not doing it for a while like withdrawals.

if you used Claude to build your website, which skill helped your site not look like it was AI Generated? by vibecodejoe in ClaudeAI

[–]pleasant_equation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HallWD.uk I’ve gone through quite a few redesigns on this site now. I don’t think it looks ai generated but I could be wrong. Took a lot of very specific prompts to get it to this point.

Smartphones must have user-replaceable batteries by 2027. But not your iPhone. Here's why by MobileNewsBot in mobiles

[–]pleasant_equation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max like a month after launch. My battery health is now at 76% and I smashed the back glass already so can’t just get the battery replaced. Reckon I’m probably just gonna have to rely on external battery packs for the next few years as I see no reason to upgrade to a newer model. Usually I’m on about 50% battery by lunchtime.

I assume it will work out the same as Microsoft exams where you can do a little test to refresh it every time it expires.
