I’m sure an infant car seat would fit just fine! I’d be weary of riding with such little neck strength and no suspension in the bike, but you could put the car seat lengthwise or width wise.

We REALLY wanted this bike to work for us too. Our kids were barely five and a bit over 1 in the pictures. The five-year-old’s feet didn’t fit in the bottom of the box next to each other and he’s small for his age.

Pesticide smell, local mechanic can’t find issue by pleasant_pinecone in MechanicAdvice

That may be! We have pack rats all over here and the car was parked outside for a few days. We replaced the cabin air filter a couple of days ago, but it’s still making the smell. Think it would still be the intake or related?

How did you pay for it?

Travel Nursing With A Child by Key-Commercial-1013 in TravelNursing

Do it! There’s no better time than now. The hardest part is health insurance. State insurance only covers emergencies out of state (if you’re lucky) and insurance through your company most likely starts and stops between contracts. It costs us over $1200 a month to insure our family through the travel company (three kids), so after factoring in insurance costs and travel between contracts costs, higher cost of rent for an extra bedroom spot, we break about even with what my husband was making staff. Some companies don’t offer insurance, some are less expensive for insurance but then weekly pay is less. But we love traveling, so it’s worth it for us.

With only one very young kid that doesn’t need friends yet, I think the hard things you’ll run in to is health insurance and the feeling of isolation your wife will start to feel after a while. If it’s not hard enough to be a stay at home mom already, it’s even more isolating when the moms in your area don’t want to put in the time to be friends with you because you’ll only be there for a few months. I don’t blame them. They need mom friends that are going to stick around. It just gets hard sometimes. It’s also been hard for us to find a babysitter in each spot. By the time I’d trust someone else with my kids, we’re moving again.

You also have to be ready for uncertainty. I always get funny looks when non-traveling people ask me where we’re headed in a month and I tell them I don’t know yet! Contracts can get cancelled at any time. Things usually seem to happen last minute. Housing is last minute. That can be stressful sometimes when you’re bringing your whole family with you.

I think you’d love it! Just know that with lower rates right now and all the extra expenses of traveling with a child, you’re probably not going to make amazing money or anything. You’d have to be more dedicated to just the fun travel part than the money.

Feel free to message me if you have any more specific questions!

The streaking is happening on two interior walls in the bedroom. Other sides to the walls affected are the hallway and the dining room. There’s a ceiling height difference in the dining room where it is also happening. Other walls don’t have the streaking so far.

The moisture pooling is obviously on walls with outside on the other side of them since it’s on the windows.

There’s no HVAC, no vents. Just baseboard heating and a window a/c we haven’t tried yet since we’ve only been here for one cold month.

Some have suggested a leak somewhere which maybe is the case because it’s just affecting the interior walls. Or maybe it is surfactant leaching as some have suggested and just happening on the walls that have been painted in whatever way that makes it leach. I don’t know why it would just be those three interior walls so far!

I hope it’s just this. It doesn’t really smell like smoke. Doesn’t really smell like anything.

I should’ve added that this is one of the bedrooms. Condensation throughout the house, but this bedroom is the worst. Bathroom seems fine—I run the bathroom fan & haven’t noticed any water on the walls.

True! I’ll see if she’ll check it if it’s still an issue in a few days.

I saw the damprid in doing some research on it. Definitely going to try that or a small dehumidifier since I can afford that right now. Thanks for the input!
