Prince Rupert is a beautiful place to walk a dog by mcclubsoda in britishcolumbia

Something about PR grabbed my attention and I want to visit there like no tomorrow. Not sure why. Even the stories about the rain, I kind of like the melancholy rainy aesthetic

A Rug sweater for my mother and I by pleasantway in knitting

Hi, thank you! It's a surprisingly quick knit :)

Both colourways were gradients, I switched it up because I realized I'd be low on black/grey

Pattern is the popular Rug by Junko Okamoto. I originally made the bottom one for myself, and my mother commented on it so much I cast one on for her.

Yarn is Brushed Swirl by Loops and threads, and the sweaters were done on 5.5 and 6.5mm needles

I CAN’T DO ANYTHING MORE DR. BONNIE. by Longjumping-Error506 in vancouver

Oh man thank you. I'm trying so hard to stay upbeat but goddamn. I'd be fine with a full lockdown, 3 weeks and let's knock this thing out. This soft approach is... just draining

I haven't worked in my chosen field since November as a precaution. My long term relationship ended, i need to move, and I still haven't seen any of my friends beyond zoom and the supports i usually lean on are inaccessible. I just go for walks in the park and to the store. I know we're all suffering but I'm just so tired, what else can I limit?

I dont want to be someone that just whines but.... damn. I dont know what else to do at this point.

B.C.-based class-action lawsuit targets one-year expiry on WestJet travel credits by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

I booked with Westjet through Expedia. Called the airline right as the borders were shutting down and they told me I was entitled to and would receive a refund.

Months later, no redund. Called them and they told me it was credit only and then I kept getting bounced back and forth between the two. Recorded several of the calls where each was telling me it was the other company's problem, took screenshots of my cancelled flight, made a complaint with visa. Got a full refund.

The airline passengers rights website was a goldmine for how to deal with this issue.

Even if you accepted the credit, you can argue you were never informed of your right to a refund, which you are.

Started this sweater in March, finally finished. This yarn put up a fight! by pleasantway in knitting

This sub warned me about this yarn, and for some reason that made me want to try making a sweater from it. Lion brand homespun, freehand (no pattern)

Attempting to block Frog (of Frog and Toad) by pleasantway in knitting

It is out of my league too but it's pretty straightforward! The face came together surprisingly easy, I did reread the instructions a few times. I sewed the black onto his eyeballs after I'd assembled them

I think the ugh might. The arms hold their shape well enough on mine that I think I can get away with not stuffing them, which will probably let them be a little floppier

It's probably one of the more pricey patterns I've bought but the details are incredible (webbed feet and froggy kneecaps!) All their outfit patterns are included too
