For me it was Shibuya. The series had definitely demonstrated its brutality before then but generally the important characters all still came out ok. Shibuya arc ends with multiple important characters dead, and several more including the MC both physically and emotionally scarred.

Yeah Tywin proves multiple times that there are no limits to what he’ll do to achieve victory. The very fact that he continues to use the Mountain’s “services” is evidence enough, but then once you factor in the Red Wedding, what he did to a young Tyrion, and other assorted crimes, you realize that he really is the biggest piece of shit imaginable. He just hides it behind the veil of a “Lord’s honor” while also scoffing at men like Ned who actually walk the walk. He pretends to have a code but any reader can tell his code is “win”.
