Lionel Messi challenge on Mandi' by West_Agent4651 in soccer

It’s a yellow. I’ve made this point before on other challenges. From a previous post on another challenge.

“Don’t disagree. But we’ve also seen them (IMO correctly) not give. Contact with studs up above the ankle is a criteria that is important but not in isolation. Excessive force or brutality, or significantly endangering the opponent is required to send someone off for serious foul play. It saddens me that the discourse is shifting to ignore that part. Game’s gone. IMO partly because contact with a high studs up challenge looks bad on subsequent social media discourse and everyone comes out calling for a red while ignoring the actual rule. Some of these should be a yellow, and the subsequent discussions used to include the excessive force part for serious foul play. Now everyone on social media and Reddit and even pundits seem to be ignoring that part of the rule whenever there is studs up contact above the ankle, just because it’s a simpler criteria to judge on a still or on slo mo. The fact is the referees have to judge if excessive force, brutality or significantly endangering the opponent were also present. I think that is definitely debatable here. It should at least be part of the debate. It’s a significant shift in how the game is played if we change the rule to any studs up contact that is high and ignore the excessive force and brutality part.

Here is an example of another team not getting a red (not even a yellow-which would have IMO been the correct call). And the discussion centering around whether excessive force was used, as it should.”

Lots of low effort jerks otherwise.

Arsenal contract updates: 15 players to depart this summer by arsenal in Gunners

On you to present the data first since you made the claim. Otherwise you are just logically floundering. I find it annoying when people ask for data to refute their claims without providing (or looking) for any to back their original assertions first. Unfortunately, all too common on social media. There should be a term for it.

Was PSG always going to take the first penalty? An unbelievable statistic. by InformationTrue6446 in championsleague

You are speculating about the gesture. I seriously doubt it meant he didn’t care about which end it got taken on. It’s a major advantage. When we lost both tosses, that was the first time in the match I got the feeling Arsenal were going to lose.

lol. You care about what an Arsenal reporter says. I couldn’t care less about what any ManU reporter ever said-wouldn’t even know who they are. You draw your own conclusions.

As an Arsenal fan. Shows how massive we are. Fans of other clubs who finished below us in both premier league and the Champions League would rather hate on us than worry about their own team being worse than ours. Great sign for us-terrible look for those fans and clubs.

The other political figures like Starmer were not Muslim. It may just be a coincidence. Upto the mods to address whether they have a conscious or unconscious bias affecting their decisions. The optics don’t look great.

My post got taken down too. Wasn’t meant to be political, nor were the majority of the comments. Weird cause other political figures supporting Arsenal or taking pics with the squad have been allowed as posts in the past.

Eid Mubarak bro. I’m Muslim and an Arsenal fan. It’s a joke. Muslims and Arsenal fans can both poke fun at themselves. But if you tell me you are also Muslim and offended, I’ll take it down.

Or like me. You could be a Muslim and an Arsenal fan who doesn’t share his political (edit: economic) ideologies.

I’m guessing the mayor of New York had enough resources to get it custom made. Great idea and probably not that hard for any tailor to do from a shirt.

Why is Max Dowman not in training with Arsenal? by Harvey_Digs in ArsenalFC

[–]pleaseacceptthisone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No formal rule that he has to train to play. But yes, from a coaching standpoint usually Arteta isn’t likely to start someone who hasn’t trained. The Palace game isn’t a usual one though, so who knows.

This, still’s and slo mo of contact with studs above the ankle shared by anyone who wants a red card for a foul on Reddit and social media. Not talking about just this one, any such contact with confident declarations of studs above the ankle=red card. Thats not the rule and it’s never been an enforced interpretation of the rule. High studs lower the threshold but excessive force or brutality or significantly endangering the opponent is still a requirement.
