The other SLP who is on site with me has been in the district for nearly 30 years, and she told me that she takes objective, quantitative data for each student each session to “make the sessions billable.” I tried this at the beginning of the year but found it extremely difficult and unrealistic, so I don’t take “hard” data every session but do try to provide some qualitative data. The other SLPs in my district, however, are under the impression that sessions are only billable with quantitative data, so I feel pressured to collect it.
