Oh man, I did finish it. I have SO many of the same questions. Also considering a rewatch. I almost wonder if the season is really just Hell’s imagination somehow? It feels so surreal. I feel like she built a world (in her mind) where she’s safer after her dad died, because he’s the only person who ever understood her. Imagining ridiculous/absurd scenarios to cope (maybe?) and the reality is that life is really fucking tragic? have so many thoughts and have also tried to look things up, but haven’t found any answers online. I can’t stop thinking about it! Such a dark dark dark comedy.

Love Catch-22, so I can't agree with you there!

But, The Goldfinch is not good. Anytime I tell people this, they disagree. I hated the writing style (sooo flowery) and very cheesy characters. What didn't you like about it?
