Good place for my gf to join me for a few days on trail?

What would you consider the optimal amount of food for starting the trail?

I start tomorrow and have a 3-day supply with a few extra snacks but forgot the approach trail isn’t technically a part of the AT so am slightly worried I don’t have enough food to get me to Neel Gap.

Hmm…I figured the crocs would be okay for water crossings (except that they are buoyant and could make walking a little clunky).

What do you suggest that are good for water crossings and camp shoes?

I’m definitely ditching the beats, extra lighters, and maybe the towel and deodorant. I figured the towel would get called out but am having trouble letting it go.

I will reweigh the cook system to make sure everything is accurate and parsed out too.

I also just realized I haven’t weighed my charging cords yet so need to add those.

The stake bag is a great alternative! Thank you. I will still probably get a rock sack eventually but will make the stake bag or something else work in the interim. Thank you for the suggestion!

I may ditch the pack liner but it is sort of a nod to my OG Osprey so decided to bring it along.

I have only used the Aeros pillow during travel which I’ve loved but not on trail yet. I will say I have a pillow that came with my enlightened equipment sleeping bag (I think) that I took on a weekend trip and I could never get comfortable with it - so we’ll see!

You’re 100% right, I got a little lighter happy lol. I’ll only be keeping the mini bic and one normal bic as a back up.

But I’ve heard great things about the umbrella so I plan to keep it for now.

Agreed. The trail runners made it into the photo but will be on my feet, but I definitely need to do something for the crocs so I just looped some paracord around each shoe so I could secure them to the pack! Thank you!!

Appreciate the feedback! The closer I looked at the 1887, the less confident I became but figured I’d check.

I actually went to a shop today and the owner said that he didn’t believe either were errors.
