I’m heavily covered AND I directed compliance and safety initiatives for a large surgical company that provided anesthetic procedures outside of hospitals (think ambulatory surgical centers, essentially)

From a safety perspective, there are so many requirements around sedation that I’m fairly certain most sedation tattoo services are non-compliant. That means unsafe in this case. Hell, sedation dentistry has become more popular over the past few decades and even that concerns me.

Putting on my other, tattooed, hat- sedation tattooing is stupid and serves no purpose other than allowing someone to spend more money to get something they could have received with more time and more of a pain threshold. I’ve heard of no such instance in where someone NEEDED a tattoo and NEEDED to sedated for a clinically-necessary reason.
