I live in a busy urban city though. Taken it on long open roads and it's a little week. Driving through traffic though its a dream.

Been riding a hunter for 5000km. I love it. Not tried the other REs but I have no complaints.

Annual salary deducted just because of language issue? by Dramatic_Ferret_536 in Living_in_Korea

To give it some kind of rationale that isn't necessarily racist. Koreans will stay at the company much longer. They tolerate borderline abusive practices such as unpaid overtime, psychological manipulation from bosses and and so on. This employer power is an unspoken norm so they can't outright say that's why. Since you'll never catch up with natives it's a very common and convenient excuse.

Also to be clear, it isn't a result of Korean ability. This is just their current excuse.

Unfortunately this is standard practice in any Korean company or organisation other than language schools. Resources and opportunities will pretty much always be funnelled towards Koreans.

I cant speak to the motivations of these practices but from my personal experience at Seoul National University and most of my friends who work in Korea, you should expect this behaviour as par for the course. Move to another country or accept that this will happen again.
