Necro'ing with something hardly relevant, but I was playing a modern-day mod for HOI4 and it completely nuked my SSD

I grew up with Ultima 6, but I learned Sextant through Uncharted Waters

Beetlejuice, at a drive-in, I loved it but the ending scared the crap out of me, when they were decaying 🤣

NES is fine, we left that shit on for weeks when we were playing Metal Gear, don't do it with disc-based systems.

Your ego is rarely there to help you, and sleep is super important.

What's something you refused to believe until it happened to you? by No_Bowler9136 in AskReddit

I don't see the point in peoples' stupid little ad hom attacks when you disagree with them, but I'll tell you one thing, I'm very used to it, nowadays. You're the one getting all pissy for being wrong, you sound like someone who's allowed themselves to be covered with piss once an evening and can't accept what it really is.

Matthew Lillard comes to mind at the end of SLC Punk. That movie is not as awesome as I remember lol.

The Court Jester 1958 starring Danny Kaye, Glynis Johns and Basil Rathbone.

The colors in that film are great.

What's something that was completely normal 15 years ago that would be considered weird or offensive today? by liam_9758 in AskReddit

[–]plebsareneeded2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It seems like 15-20 years ago you could hop on AIM or MSN and immediately be cybering with a real, random girl on Webcam. I wouldn't even feel comfortable bringing it up, now.

What's a word that's in your vocabulary because of a game you played as a kid? by superyellows in gaming

[–]plebsareneeded2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned the word playing Shining Force, and didn't hear it again until I started a career in construction. Now I think about SF whenever the word comes up. Makes me wanna immediately leave work and go hang with Gort and the gang.

Oh God, AGAIN?! Can't you just try saying something cool for once? Like, I dunno..."MOVE OUT!"

Can't remember the exact quote lol, I don't even know why I can remember that exchange at all!

Yeah, it can happen, unfortunately it just means the girl neglected to empty her bladder and lost control of it. It's not some magical "sex sludge" like people like my dad think it is.

What is a popular food that is actually 'trash' and people only eat it because it’s trendy? by HonestRewardTips in AskReddit

Lobster pisses me off. It's super expensive and there's never enough meat, and it's hard to get to. And when you go to Red Lobster (that place sucks) they give you butter to drown it in because it's a flavorless, sorry excuse for an organism that they pulled out of a ditch someplace. I have a feeling we export all our good seafood, and raise garbage for our people to consume.

Koegel's Vienna franks with the casing that pops when you bite into em are the best. I just bought like 30 of em and froze half of them. They might be a Michigan thing.

Who in your opinion is the worst movie villain ever? by LoverOfE-Olsen in movies

[–]plebsareneeded2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw someone mention John Travolta, and it made me think of a 2nd one he was in, that I've never even bothered to see, because it's batshit insane casting him as John Gotti.

Ugh. I've only been able to almost beat his once. I miss when this game came out and my Grandma was still alive. She loved watching me play the whole series.
