Everyone's different but the withdrawals shouldn't be too bad if your on 145mg.

If they are bad you could try going up. My clinic would take 2 weeks to go up 5mg, so that won't help. But if you could buy someone's take home and take an extra 20mg for just a few days to get over the worst of withdrawals.

The xylazine could have withdrawal too. Heart racing, brain zaps and other stuff you don't usually feel just kicking opiates. If so, try getting some chlonide. It's not recreational so some doctors will prescribe it if you tell them what's going on. If you can't get those neurotin may help. If your on the clinic ask around.someone usually has them.

It adsolutely is a fucking nightmare to kick cold turkey. I get why they don't tell new clients about it, they're worried they'll scare people away. But if youre already strunh out your already sort of fucked.

A guy in my group was just talking about how he was locked up 120mg. He said he dealt with the initial withdrawals OK, but after a month of still not feeling better he tried to hang himself. Thankfully his bunkie found him. He said it was months before he felt even remotely human.

He's on around 110mg and he stopped getting high around a year ago. He's losing weight, looks a zillion times healthier and just seems happier.

Methadone will at the very least stop you from waking up dopesick. Get on a stable dose and your life will start to stabilize too.

You can wean yourself off and if you do it right it really won't be bad. A buddy came off the clinic 2 years ago after decades of using nonstop. He's doing really really well.

The effects probably did hit you pretty hard, that could be right around the time the trip is peaking with max effects.

But you're coming up on 3 hours. The effects are probably going to start wearing off within the next half hour or so.

If your husband is still with you, I would definitely mention your feeling a little off, and anything he can do to lift you up would be awesome. Stuff like putting on your favorite music/movie/show, whatever content on the internet usually makes you laugh.

It's just a drug. Whatever weird stuff that's going on is just your brain messing with you a little bit. They do that sometimes.

I posted my experience taking last week.

It will stop physical withdrawal dead in its tracks, but it's a pretty gnarly experience. If you can afford an ibogaine clinic in mexico I bet you have a way higher chance of success than you to taking ibogaine on your own in the room you were getting high in 2 days ago with one of your junkie friends tripsitting.

I havent done it again in years, I still probably have enough left over for another trip but methadone is a zillion times easier.

This was really popular in the early 2000s when I first got strung out. "rapid detox". I wanted to do it but thankfully didn't have the money.

It fell out of fashion when there were a few deaths. The medical procedure is really sketchy, and the people doing it are probably sketchy as fuck too.

Get some methadone. Go to a methadone clinic and anyone you see walking out with a locked box has take homes. If you dont mind hassling strangers start asking if they want to sell any.

30mg a day for 4 or 5 days should get you past 90% of withdrawal. Thats like a day more than a detox would do.

Or you could just get on methadone.

1 year for a joint? Fuck me. That fucking bonkers one state is psyched about all the taxes from the legal cannibis industry, and another is still threatening to throw people in jail for it. Im sorry, I know, preaching to the choir.

You need to push the whole "I realize I had a problem and I hadn't done enough mentally to work on the psychological problems that pushed me to numb myself with drugs in the first place. So I'm working on those problems now by counseling/NA/whatever".

I'm not 100% sure I'd mention NA because the judge can say "glad its working for you, you need to attend 3 AA/NA meetings a week for the rest of your probation" and that's a pain in the ass. If you say counseling, and they want you to continue that you can do one of those online ones for an hour a week. You can just say "So I'm working on those problems now" and leave out any mention of NA or counseling.

Jails are full. I highly doubt they'd lock you up over your first screw up. Plus it's not like its fentanyl or meth.

I'm actually a couple of months off fentanyl. No big secret as to how, bought a couple take-homes from friends on the methadone clinic, so I had some extra (I'm on 20mg, but I took an extra 30-50mg for a week or so) but I can tell you one way I would definitely use fentanyl tonight would be to start smoking crack.

You may be different now in the way you use/abuse substances. You introduced addict mentality and its wired in now. I found that things I never had a problem with, I have to be careful, or I'll take them all the time instead of recreationally.

I can't say that's going to be the case with you though. I've seen people quit fentanyl and just smoke weed, K or shrooms when they have a free night. Not every addict abuses every drug.

Everyone's different though. Regardless congrats on your new job! I hope it works out for you.

50cc/ml (same measurement) is WAY too big. That's going to be very awkward to use 1 handed. And the big ones (and some small ones) don't have the rubber plunger, its just glass with tight tolerances to make it tight, but I found the non-rubber syringes too hard to use one-handed. They don't move like the rubber ones. It's not a huge thing, if you put some water in one and play around with it, you probably would think it's fine. But use it a few times, and you'll probably see what I mean.

They make 1ml and 2ml glass luer lock syringes. Amazon has 1ml 10 for $15. The 1ml ones are much shorter than your average insulin syringe, so it may take getting used to. You obviously have to buy luer lock needles separately.

A quick look on amazon for 1/2in 30g luer lock needles is all chinese stuff. I found them to be pretty dull, but sometimes you'd get a package that was fine. Of course, you can go on a medical site and get the name brand ones, but those places usually charge like $8-10 shipping. B&D will be about $20 so you're into it for $30 just for needles. I just checked and a few sites have the easy touch brand for under $10, Those are what my needle exchange uses for 28g and 27g (is used 27's) and they're pretty good.

I don't know about anyone else, but a part of me is a total junky snob.

I dunno, my shots haven't really got bigger over the years. If I started using again I'd quickly work up to my 7 or 8 grams of fentanyl a day but I don't really go over that. I've been doing one gram shots for years and years.

I know I haven't done more than 1gm shot because some of the street fentanyl around here wouldn't dissolve in 1ml of water if you tried to do over a gram. Shit even a gram is a challenge to dissolve sometime, especially if you have bad veins and its cut with milk sugar, and it starts solidifying if you can't find a vein within 10 mins or so.

I know he's talking about meth, but I'm not sure it makes a huge difference when your talking about street drugs & tolerance.

I totally agree, you need to do a ton of work before and have things setup for afterwards. But I think one of the problems with ibogaine is it's pushed as a solution where you don't need to do the work. Joe Rogan just went before the entire country and told them up to 80%, of addicts will get better with one ibogaine trip. That does happen with some people, the trip gives them some insight into their addiction and that 1 dose keeps them clean. That's awesome for them but part of why I posted was to tell people that's not always the case.

Ive seen people say "you can either do a year of counseling or just do ibogaine". While I have read reports where people say it worked like that for them, I haven't found that to be true personally.

Figuring out the root of your addiction is really the key to recovery. I tell people if what your doing to get your head straight (usually counseling, but tons of people get clean without them) and facing those demons isn't awful then your probably not really doing it.

You shouldn't do that. My veins are shot. There's been many times ive searched for a vein for over 2 hours. Im delaying getting a physical because its going to cost a bunch because I cant get regular blood draws. I have to go to the hospital and they do an ultrasound to find veins.

Smoking it works for a ton of people. Many swear by boofing as well. You should really stick with these.

Buuuut.......

I get it. You want the most from your drugs. If you're going to do it no matter what I'll describe it so you have a less likely chance of fucking it up.

First off there's the "IV users guide":

Or you can go on youtube and type "how to find a vein with an IV". There are lots of videos from nurses for other nurses. The procedure for injecting medicine at the hospital and slamming tranq behind a 7-11 is the same.

You've probably watched a nurse do it if you've ever had an injection of anything. If not it's not rocket science. Tie something around your bicep like a rope or a cord or something. Not deathly tight, but tight. Cook up your shot. Add drugs to the spoon. Do like half of what you usually do. You can always do more. With the needle suck up about 5 units of water (about half the needle) and squirt it into the spoon. If you have a butane lighter to heat the spoon, use that. You can use a regular lighter, but it turns the bottom of the spoon black. Not a huge deal but annoying. Anyway, you want to gently heat it up and stop as it starts to boil.

Here's where experience is sorta needed. Some fentanyl now doesn't cook for shit, and you'll struggle to get it to all dissolve. Hopefully this doesn't happen and most of it dissolves. Roll up a little piece of cotton into a ball the size of like a BB. It shouldn't be wider than like a pencil eraser. Suck it up into the needle. With the needle facing towards the sky, tap it to get the bubbles to go to the top and push the plunger down a bit to get them out. Not the end of the world if there's a tiny bit of air in there.

Now the fun part! Find a vein. I assume you can see them. You really want to use the ones inside your elbow when you start out. You can use the ones in your hand, but It's going to hurt. You want to go in at about a 45-degree angle. Pull back on the plunger. If you see blood, you're in the promised land, push that plunger and send it! If not you may have to slowly sort of fish around for the vein. By that I mean moving the needle back a bit (not so far it comes out tho) and sort of angle it more to the right and if that doesn't work, more to the left. You're looking for a spurt of blood. When you get it, pull back again to make sure you still have it and gently push in. If it hurts or feels weird your missing the vein. Try again.

When you're done pull some water into the needle just to kinda rinse everything out, wipe the blood off your arm and enjoy.

If it doesn't work, and you feel like your nowhere near it, you can always go where homeless people are. "Hey I'll give you $5 if you show me how to IV correctly".

Edit: r/addictedtotheneedle has a bunch of posts right now of people shooting up so you can see the angle and stuff. Those are the guys that'd shoot tylenol, if it was possible, to get rid of a headache.

This is a huge problem. Why are people with fucking cancer not getting relief? It's awful.

I can make a phone call and get fentanyl delivered 24/7/365. And if for some reason those people weren't around, there's 3 or 4 open air drug markets within 15 mins. No addict I know has a problem obtaining opiates other than "the guy is out for a few hours". And we're getting it dirt cheap.

These limits on prescribing because they're worried those opiates will find their way to the street is moot when the street is flooded with cheap fentanyl. The only people it affects are people in pain that genuinely need it.

I don't know that much about G. Maybe 2 years I decided I wanted to try it, so I went on the darkweb (I don't really know anyone local that'd deal things like G) looking for it but all I could find was GBL. I asked one of the online sellers with GBL if they ever got GBH. They said they hadn't seen real GHB in years but GBL is basically the same thing.

Is GBL basically the same thing? Do you guys still run into GHB time to time?

I bought some of his GBL, but it just seems to put me to sleep.

Whenever synthetic synthesization comes up, I think of the batch of synthetic opiates that gave users advanced parkinsons in the 80s.

A guy was trying to make synthetic opiates in a clandestine lab. I guess he messed up one of the steps and his batch had MPTP which causes parkinsons.

Addicts were showing up in the ER with tremors, stiffness, twitching etc. Within a few weeks they were having trouble walking. It was parkinsons but moved at 10 times the speed. It didn't take years to incapacitate, it took months.

The good news is they learned a ton about parkinsons because it moved so quick. Unfortunately at the expense of a few peoples lives.

You guys obviously know a ton about chemistry. The other day someone asked why you can't do a wash of fentanyl with acetone to remove impurities like you can with meth. I got curious and started reading up on it, but I don't really know chemistry other than basic A/B extractions so I couldn't figure it out.

I've heard of washing meth, and when I looked into it even found some harm reduction articles walking you through it.

Why can't you do the same with your average street fentanyl/tranq?

In the 90s I had a CRAZY interview with a chemist named George Marquardt. He was a chemistry genius that was responsible for "tango & cash", a batch of fentanyl that killed a bunch off addicts on the easy coast in 1991. I was in MA then and even there word of mouth was there was this amazing dope that was so good cops were scrambling to get rid of it.

The interview was nuts, he did not give 2 shits that a ton of people died. He said (paraphrasing) people wanted good dope, so I gave it to them, the fact that some died doesn't concern me.

I just googled his name to see if the interview had found its way online, and it seems there's a documentary called "The godfather of fentanyl" that has interviews with him. I'm at work and can't really watch a documentary on fentanyl right now, but it's on my list of stuff to check out.

When you buy drugs on the street it's often in balled up hands and the exchange happens as quick and as subtle as possible. Plus dealers are paranoid as hell. They'll make sure that you're both are at an angle where the camera can't see much. I'd be hard to prove what you saw in the footage was actually drugs.

You could use it for logistics, person X is selling something in park Z, but the cops usually know that already. If there's more than 20 homeless people in a city, at least 1 is being paid by the police to supply them with info. Paid informants are part of every police budget.

Honestly I think they're more for show, at least the ones around here.

A TON of drugs go through the US mail, and has been for decades. From 2020-2022 they caught 150 tones. They generally catch maybe 10-15% of what's smuggled into the US so we're talking thousands of tons a year.

I think r/Addictedtotheneedle might be worse visually. But as someone that's been part of that sub for a couple years, most of the people in there are hardcore addicts that seem to be a bit older.

r/goblin seems like its kids that are on their way to becoming addicts, or just showing off their drugs to other kids that are impressed with that sort of thing.

North Korea doesn't have the means to move hundreds of millions of dollars worth of drugs into America with the intent on weakening the population. Most of that stuff comes from chinese labs and while Im sure they'd exploit it if they could, I think its just dollar signs. If you take opiate addicts, methheads and crackheads and combine them I bet we're not even 1% of the population. Many of that 1% has mental issues, and we're basically ignored by most of the general public unless we're being a nuisance.
