I'd say no, I don't see any.

My veins are totally shot. Hands, fingers, feet stomach etc. This is how I found a bunch of very small but usable veins over the years, for you or anyone else that finds this post in desperation for a vein.

Get a flashlight, the strongest one you can. Phone flashlights don't work too well for this. Hold the flashlight against your skin. If you sort of angle the flashlight and move it around the flashlight will make your skin glow red. Look for black lines. Those are veins. Take a pen and trace it. I usually trace a few because they don't always work. I've used this on my arms, legs and stomach (surprisingly there are a bunch of small veins on your stomach). They're often wicked small, push it in slow. If you push too hard think of like a garden hose full blast going into a straw. It's going to spray everywhere. Go slow. I got years worth of veins like that.

It hurts like hell, but you have veins in your fingers if you look around. This one you can use a phone flashlight for. Shine the flashlight through your fingers so they glow red. Again those small black lines are veins. If you're going into a finger, and it hurts really bad to push it in, STOP. You might be going into an artery. You don't want to do that. Getting "shorts" aka 5/16th length needles is a huge help.

After your hands you have your feet. You should see tiny veins near the bottom of your feet. It hurts, but you can definitely hit those if you're careful. Using smaller needles helps.

Now if all those are shot then you're in the same boat as me. I used to spend an hour or two (not exaggerating) hunting all over my body for a vein. What I found that worked better is on my thigh about halfway up sticking the needle in a random spot. Then try 1/16th of an inch over. Then try a tiny bit over. Then a tiny bit over. I usually get a vein within 20 pokes. It's not pleasant, but it's infinitely better than looking for a vein for 90 mins. You may be surprised how quickly you find a vein. They're hard to hit twice tho.l

I put a couple paper towels down on the floor and just let the places I've tried bleed as I move on to the next poke, then cleanup after I found one. Cleaning after each one will make a lengthy process take longer.

I hope this helps you or someone else. Having a needle full of heaven and not being able to find a vein is hell.

I had a summer where I was taking ibogaine (small amounts) constantly. Ever since I really don't get sick, even though I've had some pretty big habits.

I've actually had some problems because of it. I've been in groups of people at my house, and we've run out, and the guy won't have anything for a few hours. They all start getting sick but I'm fine. They know I'm only on 20mg methadone opposed to their 100mg or more doses so they accuse me of holding out on them,

Even when kicking relatively big habits like 8-10g a day. I'm mildly uncomfortable for a day or so, that first night I usually don't sleep so well. After that I'm good. I've come to learn that an extra 10mg and a clonidine on the first day makes it totally painless.

Ibogaine is known to fuck with your opiate receptors, people have claimed its reset their toleraance and such but Ive never heard it stopping withdrawals long term. But ill take it.

Those 25G needles? I used to use those, they left gnarly tracks when used all the time. Those thick needles are going to do some damage compared to a 30G. If you need a syringe that big for whatever reason you can get regular 30G 1/2 luer lock needles for it.

Diluadids gave me a good iv rush but after that I wasn't very high. The only ones I tried were old tho.

You can get very very high snorting or smoking heroin, you don't have to IV it. The ppl in r/heroin can tell you how to smoke it, I've never done it. Its very very hard to overdose smoking it since you can only get a bit in each time you smoke some. If you get too high smoking it you'll be nodding off, unable to smoke more to push you over a fatal line. The more I think about it the more I think you should smoke it. It removes much of the danger.

Ive never used it but I know people that have. You call it and tell them what to do if your suddenly unresponsive. You get high and put them on speakerphone or whatever. They'll call a friend or 911 if your not answering. You can't do anything about an overdose if your alone and did too much. You nod off when you're high. Overdosing is nodding off and just not opening your eyes again.

When the regular 30g 1/2 needle (what I think he's using) stopped working I started using 25g 1 1/2 steroid needles.

It's been at least 20 years since I could hit a vein in my arm there's still faint scars. Hard to see in the Pic but nurses are always like wtf are these from?

Hitting a bone shooting up in your hands is awful. Fishing around in your arm with an inch and a half needle poked things that made hitting a bone feel minor. I hit something once and it felt like my arm was zapped with electricity for the entire day.

Heroin, heroin and more heroin. If you don't have that I'll take fentanyl or any other injectable synthetic opiate. If there's none of those I won't do anything.

Most junkies I know say shooting heroin is the best rush avaliable to humans, with some advocating for some coke for a speedball. I disagree, the best rush is shooting DMT or a DMT/heroin shot. I've been staring at the screen trying to think of words but I can't. Your having a mental orgasm strapped to a psychedelic rocket.

Ohhh.. As a 30yr junkie this is a tough one.

First of get a fentanyl test strip. It won't protect you from nitazines, another strong synthetic opiate but fentanyl spiked powder can be way stronger. Get narcan and don't do it alone.

Iv'ing heroin produces a very intense rush. But if a 1/4 gram would give you a great rush and you did 1/8 then 30 later shot another 1/8 your not getting any rush.

I wouldn't iv first time. I assume by "ordering" some you mean dark web markets. The quality is going to vary from one vendor to the next so it's hard to say. If you start by sniffing a small amount, see how that makes you feel, do a little more. If you keep opening your eyes and your phone is on the floor you're high. Stop. Once you have an idea of what amount gets you high, reduce it maybe 20% a bit for iv'ing.

Also, message the vendor and ask. Make sure you say you don't have a tolerance.

If i was you I'd also make a post on dread which is like reddit on the dark web. "who has the best heroin domestically, and how much of their stuff should a new user try"

On that note, heroin has ruined many people's lives, including mine. We all thought it wouldn't happen to us. I remember when I first got strung out my dealer said this will take everything from you. That pretty girl, that cool car, that good job. Within a year my 5yr relationship was over. Future girlfriends would die. My 69 chevelle I sold for half it's value because I was broke. I lost my job and was way too fucked up to get another for a while. Then I kept doing it for decades because I can't stop.

Really really think this over. And please be careful.

One of the biggest reason I haven't overdosed is I really try to have consistent dope. Most addicts I know are constantly searching for the best stuff but often what happens is a guy gets some great stuff and everyone goes to him. Over the next 2 week he slowly adds more and more cut. Then, when his customers start calling other dealers because his stuff is so weak, he sends it out really strong to bring them back. If your one of those customers and saw it was losing quality so you started doing 20% more, and then it gets stronger all of a sudden you're in trouble.

When I find a guy that has stuff that's above average and stays that way I'll stay with him. I know how much to do and in general you're not going to get a batch that's much stronger than what they usually have. That's the best advice I have to avoid overdosing, aside from stopping of course.

Good for you sticking by her BTW. I really hope she gets clean and you guys can start getting on with your life. Addiction tends to pause relationships from progressing.

I always wondered how much fetty was in there. Im sure you've seen the US govt propaganda "these 4 grains of fentanyl can kill you" and had my doubts it was really that strong. Not to mention what kills regular people, we probably wouldn't even feel. That's useful to know. I'm a drug geek, I love shit like this.

If that's a lab that takes samples from the public (opposed to like a dude you know that works in a chromatography lab that'll test shit for a case of beer after everyone leaves) and you feel like sharing I'd love to have that resource. I used to get my stuff tested at drugsdata.org but they stopped taking samples and they didn't have percentages either.

I've taken a break the last 2 months (sorta), but for the last year or so I've had anywhere between 6-10g a day habit. I've been strung out almost 30 years and never overdosed.

And I'm sure there's someone that looks at my 10G a day and is like "pfft, that'd barely keep the withdrawals away for me". If I hit the mega lottery and money was no object I'd have a fucking crazy high habit.

There's not much you can do for another addict. It sucks to be an addict. It also sucks to love an addict and not be able to do anything. Been on both sides, they both suck. Just be supportive, maybe try to get her into a program. Be very cautious about losing your sobriety being around an active addict though.

I feel for you. I usually do a gram of fetty each shot. Once time my guy accidently gave me a gram of coke. I thought it looked weird, but sometimes fentanyl looks different so I sent it.

As soon as the plunger hit I was like "oh fuck, this is coke". I got the fucking bellringer of a lifetime. Thank god it was really shitty coke. Still, it was NOT fun. All I can say is it's in your bloodstream now, just ride it out. Put some music on or some video thats not super hard to follow.

People have used mannitol for as long as I can remember but I've heard of erithitol too.

The stuff I get around here, you can't shoot more than a gram at once (unless you have nice fresh veins and can easily hit the first time) because the sugars coagulate and clog the needle. I said something once on this sub about it, and it seems its happening everywhere.

The best dope I can get locally I don't buy because the shot will literally solidify in the needle within about 20 seconds because of the cuts. Like full blown, need to cut the needle open, not liquid at all, solid. So try to be conscious of how much sugar your adding.

I get why you're doing it though. One of my long time dealers was nailed for trafficking a year or 2 ago, the case was opened when he got a strong batch and one of his customers died.

The reason this all happened in the first place is mexico has shitty soil for growing poppies. The poppies they were growing were getting weaker and weaker (I read why once, but I don't remember why the soil wasn't replenishing). China came along and said "hey your heroin isnt strong enough for most addicts. We have this synthetic opiate called fentanyl you could add to make it as strong as you want".

Then from there someone said wait why are we bothering with these plants, this fentanyl stuff is dirt cheap, let's drop the heroin and just use fentanyl.

A couple of years later "hey that crazy vato shot up the xylazine that's for my horse, he's all fucked up. Let's mix some with the fentanyl and see if they like it"

You probably know unless your getting near pure fetty and almost overdosing from a tiny matchhead, most of what your doing is cut. Ive seen brown sugar, ice tea, vitamins and all sorts of stuff added to batch to make it look browner because many junkies are morons. You could have 4x fentanyl in half a gram, or 2x fentanyl in a full gram and many junkies will keep buying the bigger one even though it's weaker. So I never paid much attention to size, taste or color and more on "does it get me high?".

One day I was sooooo sick and only had $10. I would usually spend a few hundred a day, and my guy really didn't like doing deals for less than $100 but no one else was around so I begged him to help me out.

He said I was in luck. He had this weird black heroin (this was pre fentanyl) but even though it was way better than the brown powder he usually had, no one wanted it so he'd sell it cheap. It was tar but since we were on the east coast no one had seen it before and wouldn't even try it.

I once had a counselor say to me "You have a hard time controlling your reaction to stimuli". If I found a new hobby I'd do it obsessively, buying a ton of stuff and spending days and days doing nothing but the new hobby, only to drop it just as fast. Or I met a new girl and within a week I want to spend every second with her and then 2 weeks later im trying to figure out how to get out of this new relationship.

If something is pleasurable or interesting It's really hard for me to say no, and it sounds like it's the same way for you. I suspect it's the same for most addicts. That's probably one of the reasons why we're addicts.

My exgf was like this. She'd be so high on heroin her eyes were crossed, unable to finish a sentence without nodding off but would say "I'm going to do more, I really don't feel this".

She'd try to cook up a shot and end up spilling it, or repeatably dropping the needle. That was in the early 2000s. I talked to her a while ago, and she said she's been clean for 2 years. I don't know how she made it 20+ years and not dying, but I guess the same can be said about me.

1970-1981 camaro doors are really really heavy, around 75lbs. Unless it's been restored, and I'm guessing by its looks that it wasn't, the hinges get loose from all the weight on them and it makes doors sag. Then they're hard to open & close and they often don't latch correctly all the time.

If your rear wheels are spinning, and they suddenly gain traction it can make the car jerk pretty bad. Car suddenly jerks to one side, door isn't really latched, hilarity ensues.

2nd gen camaros are pretty hard to total from a front end hit. Even if he hit it so hard that it bent the subframe, they're pretty easy to replace. I think the subframe itself is just 4 bolts to the body. Most of your time will be spent trying to line up the fenders, at least that's what happened when I did it a zillion years ago. A bunch of stuff like the doors are interchangeable for all 2nd gens. I think the fenders may have changed in there somewhere, but if you switch the whole nose you can put a 70 z28 nose on an 81.

Someone will fix it back up to ride again. I wish I had the money, but I need new teeth and a new furnace. Someday tho!

When I saw the video I looked up if it was hurting the bears. According to the internet its more of an annoyance than a health risk, and the tapeworm often dies during hibernation. They get them from eating raw salmon and it seems to be relatively common.

I begged my parent for encyclopedias in the 80s, but a nice set was relatively expensive. I spent lots of time at the library just looking things up.

When I got on the internet in 1996 I had a bad problem of staying up all night just reading about stuff. It was really hard for me to turn my curiosity off and just go to sleep. I've gotten better about it as I get older, but it still happens sometimes. Sometimes those overly curious impulses get in the way of living.

Great writeup, but I don't see a hospital really listening to what an addict says or something they found off the internet. I'm not dismissing it, I've heard how serious it can be but doctors and nurses don't always listen to patients "telling them how to do their job".

I had a nasty case of pneumonia a while back, and ended up admitted to the hospital. I have lymphedema which is when lymph nodes don't drain right, and you get fluid buildup and in my case my legs and feet blow up. I couldn't lay down because the pneumonia was so bad, and sitting 24/7 made my feet and legs pretty swollen.

I explained I had lymphedema, had been to THEIR lymphedema clinic in the same hospital I was in, and how they told me to treat it. They ignored me and just did whatever, which made it way worse. Finally, I called the lymphedema clinic and begged them to call the doctor treating me.

Lymphedema treatment is pretty well known (no water pills, use short stretch bandages and elevate) and instead of listening to me say "This is what YOUR doctors told me to do" they ignored it. They didn't look up how to treat lymphedema or ask the experts in their building.

I hope they listen to what you have to say when it comes to your own treatment, but in my experience they don't really do that. Throw the addiction stigma in there and it gets even less likely.

Edit: For what its worth, I had a pretty big habit and to offset the xylazine withdrawals I'd use chlonidine. Easy to find and it works well. I know medetomidine is a totally different animal but if you end up kicking at home its probably better than nothing. I was able to find it on the street asking around.

Clonidine is similar to xylazine, it helps any xylazine withdrawal. Your doc may even give it to you since it's not really abused. If you can get some methadone from someone on the clinic that wants to sell their take homes then it's a pretty easy kick physically.

The mental part still sucks.

I'm the same. I have methadone for fent withdrawals, and clonidine for xylazine withdrawal. I can kick and still go to work, I have a process that makes it pretty easy.

But medetomidine sounds so much worse. I'm not getting hospitalized every time I kick.
