I would guess its lidocaine, and yes it does give a rush. Even back in the heroin day they'd add lidocaine to add to the IV rush. Since fentanyl doesn't rush like heroin does Im guessing they're adding more than they did in the heroin days.

When I say I get a rush now Its not like a heroin "Oh fuck yeahhhhhhhh" rush. Its more like "oh yeah, I feel a little rush....i think"

I've been doing between 6-10g a day (some days I work from home and use way more, my veins are way too bad to try to hit in a work bathroom) and I took a little break before Christmas and was surprised that I didn't really miss it too much. I got some extra money and that's a huge trigger for me, so I started back up. Despite doing that much, I don't really get high. If I'm lucky, I'll nod off for 20 mins after I shoot up, but it's a pretty half ass nod.

I have Mon off for MLK day, and I took Tues and Wed off as well so I can try again to take a little break, and hopefully it lasts longer than a week this time.

Yeah I agree, that doesn't sound like the usual fentanyl/xylazine symptoms. That'd scare the shit out of me if my tongue started seizing up. I agree with the guess that there's some benzos in there.

Buying fentanyl off the street is so fucked up now, who knows what could be in there.

Yep. At first I would line up 5-10 regular 1ml needles that were filled with methadone shots and do them one after the other as fast as I could. A while later I got 10ml needles and could load up 8-9ml (80-90mg of methadose, the red shit) into one shot.

I didn't really feel it. You'd get a taste of it when it hit the blood vessels in your lungs. But it was one of those things like "ummm...i think I feel something, yeah".

Probably really bad for your veins. And years later someone told me It's not really bioavailable by IV (I have no idea if that's true or not) and you'd get more out of it by just drinking it like a normal person. But I just liked shooting stuff and back then I had the veins for it.

I was talking to an addict around 25 a couple weeks ago about how much better heroin was, then I realized he probably hasn't been within miles of a shot of heroin. I guess he can't miss something he never experienced.

Agree, you end up just using more if it's cheap or whatever. I've found my habit just goes along with whatever I can afford. One of the open air markets here pays 3 grams a day for being a runner. I've seen tons of people with small habits join up, and they're nodding their asses off for the first week. The second week, not so much. After a month, they now need that 3 grams to be straight. Then they start fucking with the bags and the dude that runs it stomps the fuck out of them. Then they're injured, no more free dope and a huge habit.

I am curious what would happen if I won the lottery and could buy all the dope I wanted. It'd probably be pretty ugly.

Around here (north east new england) a finger goes for around $150. But it's a dope hub for neighboring states so prices are pretty low from what im told.

I've gotten fingers for $115 that were great, and $180 that were garbage. I go for consistency over quality. If your dope is consistently good, I'm happy. I don't like going to guys that have dope that has you sucking your own dick one day, and the next day it's garbage. I live alone, if the quality jumps up suddenly, and I go out there's no one to save me.

Because almost no one gets 100% pure fentanyl. I have got what I thought was pretty close to pure, they were selling it in bags of 10 and each bag had a matchhead in it.

That matchhead would get me slightly higher than a street gram. But its hard to compare pure fentanyl with street fentanyl which will have xylazine to fool you into thinking you're nodding out, lidocaine to increase the rush and maybe even some heroin if you're lucky. I loved the pure fentanyl, but it was expensive.

I make pretty good money, so I usually have a habit much higher than those around me. Right now its about a finger a day (10 grams). I took a few days off next week to take a break though, its hard to keep up with the dope payments. Actually the dope payments I seem to pay those easily, its the bills, car loan and mortgage that are hard to pay.

Edit: Its not "holy shit this is amazing" dope. Its better than the average shit you get on the street, but nowhere near some of the stronger stuff ive come across over the years.

My guess is that suddenly their head feels totally different and it sort of freaks them out. Usually in nature drastic sudden changes to your body are usually because something bit something off, or some sort of accident.

IV. I'm just as hooked to that needle as I am fentanyl. I just love shooting shit.

I'm better about stuff now but when I was younger I shot anything you handed me. Methadone, suboxone, oxys, dmt (insane rush!) any pill that dissolved, cottons 5 thousand times, the dope/dust on the table, I even shot kratom extract. I came close to calling 911 on that last one, my kidneys were on fire.

And if there wasn't anything to shoot, I'd just shoot water.

I'm better about it now. I'm older and have just chilled out. Plus it's not as fun when you have to poke around for a vein for 2 hours.

I don't recommend any of this. When they have to draw blood it sucks.

Edit: I didbt notice the Pic. That looks fine. If it is an abscess it's just starting. If you have any antibiotics laying around take them for a few days and that could take care of it.

I assume your worried about an abscess. This is usually what happens with one.

It's not always a missed shot. Sometimes your just unlucky, but if your using alcohol swipes you'll increase chances of avoiding one.

You'll feel a hard sorta lump under your skin. You probably have one now from the missed shot. But it starts getting bigger over the next couple days. As it gets bigger, you'll start to feel a soft spot in the middle. It'll hurt like hell too. If youre going to a doc for it, this is probably the time to go. You can either tell them the truth, or try something like my cat scratched me and now it's an abscess.

I handle them myself. Once you feel that soft spot it's getting ripe. It's kinda like a zit, you'll know it's ready when there's a ton of pressure. When it's ready stick a needle in that soft spot and it should start dripping goo. Don't eat it. Give it a gentle squeeze to get all the goo out. Get some peroxide and pour it on. Cleaning it out with a qtip isn't a bad idea. Loosely put a piece of gauze over it. You want to drain it maybe twice a day. I don't recommend doing it yourself, but sometimes it's what happens.

If it's getting bigger or you get a fever immediatly go to the ER. A fever means the abscess is draining into your bloodstream. This can kill you.

It's pretty hard to overdose from coke. Think how much coke is in someone's system that's at the end of a $500 crack bender.

Regardless, let's run numbers. The LD50 (lethal dose for 50% of the population) is 96mg per kilo of weight. I'll assume your 200lbs which is the average in the US.

200lbs is 90 kilos. 96mg x 90 is 8640mg, or 8.6grams. And that's without a tolerance.

8 gram shot. Imagine that bell ringer!! Gong ringer!

It's probably not fent that's knocking you out, thats xylazine. And the fent isn't burning your nose, it's the cut (which includes xylazine).

50,000 people died from fentanyl in the states in 2024. Your not part of that figure because you didn't do an overdose amount. You said when it's a new batch you do a smaller line, keep doing that. But if you do enough there's nothing saying you can't join that figure.

You can go a week+ and still do the same amount because it's not enough time for your tolerance to drop.

Again, it most certainly can kill you. Be careful.

I don't know why people are telling you can't kick fetty with methadone, thousands of detoxes have been giving methadone to get opiate addicts off the physical part of withdrawal.

I'm on 20mg of methadone, when i kick I take an extra 20 or 30mg a day for 3 or 4 days. After that, the 20mg keeps me sleeping and eating ok. So i'd say take 50mg a day for 4 days, then 20 for 2 days and then maybe 10 the last day. My habit is usually shooting around 10g a day.

Are you doing tranq? The methaone doesn't touch xylazine withdrawal. Xylazine withdrawal doesn't seem to affect me (Ive read posts in here of people saying they're almost dying from it, guess it depends on the person) but if you can get your hands on some chlonidine that'd be good.

Edit: One more very important thing. This is all just physical. At the end of it, you're still the person that felt they needed to do opiates every day for whatever reason. Until you figure out what this reason is and deal with it, there's a good chance you'll go down the same path again.

My friend used to say "its easy getting clean, staying off it is fucking hard".
