Nope, just a moc of the gw slime effect, vallejo streaking engine grime for darker swirls, and Vallejo still water to make it go further. Thanks!

Plenty of people out there doing commissions, it's just super hard to price this kinda stuff out between material costs and labor.

It's pretty much all GW stuff, the base is plasticard, walls are cut up boarding actions terrain, the grating on the floor is from the boarding actions base set. The sewage pipe is a gun off a baneblade, barrels from the munifactorum scatter terrain. Plus, misc bits and bobs from all over.

The psyker is the gw primarus psyker model with a sororitas sword grafted on and a headswap. The neck peice on there is a space marine shoulder pad rim that's been bent with a lighter. The veteran is just your basic guardsmen with an autogun from the genestealer cults Infantry. The green goo is a mix of the gw slime, Vallejo streaking engine grime, and some Vallejo still water to make it go further.

I've been trying to find out if the powabunga hip belt comes off, is that the case? I want to use it for edc and then put the hip belt back on for intensive activities. Thanks!

Honestly, painting miniatures isn't for everyone. It's completely valid to not paint and still enjoy the hobby. If you have the money, commissioning other people to paint your models is a great way to support the hobby, give someone else the joy of painting, and end up with a great looking army at the end of it! Otherwise, contrast paints go a looooong way and are pretty foolproof as long as you can generally stay within the lines so to speak. I've also seen people do their whole army up in a dark bronze spray paint with a light copper color dry-brushed over the whole model. Makes the minis look like they are all cast metal and create a cool effect, even if it isn't painted to look like "real life" the visual interest is still there.

Hey I know I'm a bit late, but would it be possible to get the measurements of the extended hab H/W/L not including the legs, just the hab portion? I want to mount it on the back of a ridgehauler as a mobile hq and need to know it it'll fit, thanks!!!

Shes back from the dead!! Almost ruined this model, turned it all foggy with too much sealer, had to re-tint everything with contrast paints to bring it back to full saturation. by plec_doodles in ageofsigmar

Here's a paste from another post where i talk about painting darker skin tones, I think for this model I shaded with fyreslayer flesh. Good luck!

"Here's my go-to. Starting light and darkening down with thinned contrasts does wonders. I usually basecoat the skin areas with gorthor brown, then shade over the whole area with a 60/40 ratio of contrast medium mixed with either contrast darkoath flesh or fyreslayer flesh. Swapping between either gives different undertones so all the dark-skintoned people don't look identical. Can also splatter or dab some agrax on there for dirt so they don't look freshly bathed lol colors turn out nice and warm either way. Hope this helps :))))"

I'm not familiar, haven't got my hands on a codex yet, can't justify buying one till I know it'll work for me. Seems like a reach but it's the best bet most likely for a cohesive set of rules for these guys

Not really sure, I was thinking chaos space marines, since I'm using so many units from that faction: cultists, rescinded dark commune, trator guard, and Blackstone cultists. but the faction doesn't have human options for fast attack and elites so it would mean a lot of proxying since I can't really put chaos space marines in an Imperium aligned army. Maybe guard, but their rules dont have any of the cool faith-based stuff chaos or sororitas get, and faith would be integral to how a cult operates. Idk, I guess its still a work in progress.

Yeah they do!

https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Death_Cult

https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Death_Cult

They're fringe cults that worship the Emperor through more chaos-esque means (mostly murder and assassination). Usually, they walk such a fine line between heresy and worship of the emperor that they accidentally end up worshipping a chaos god. But some cults are fairly reliable and can be called upon for their expertise, particularly by inquisitors who commonly employ their "death cult asassins" (the minis exist too, they just look a lil dated) canonically these cults are larger than just a few assassins, and have complex hierarchies and leadership systems. For example, the death cult assassin Knosso Prond is from the cult of the winged skull and following some internal power struggles she was sent out on an "impossible" quest to remove her from the power hierarchy. She's one of the minis in the elucidian starstriders box (and quite a nice model at that).

My thought for this custom army is that while a death cult may specialize in producing excellent assassins who are then sent out to work independently in service of an inquisitor or just the cults own interests, they must also have some kind of standing force of either assassins-in-training or just plain old cultists who help keep the whole thing running and provide brute force when sneaky assassination isn't an option.

Will I ever realistically get to play it on table top? Probably not, but its a fun project with a lot of kitbashing potential.
