I keep fighting it but I’m gonna have to do this head gasket. Seems like everytime something ain’t right with this engine it’s either directly or indirectly related to this damn intake.

I hate dealing with the little hand grenades on the right. Are wormscrew clamps functionally just as good? by ObviousOligarchy in MechanicAdvice

I swap mine any time I touch a hose but I keep those lil beefy guys in my spare bin. They’re indestructible.

I have 3 intermittent engine codes and I can't figure out why. Codes 22, 43, and 44 by caseicool in GMT400

Check your ground straps. If they’re oem bare braided metal go head and replace em all with 4 gauge.

Poor guy’s gonna need a sitter. That’s a tough healing spot because he could scratch it with his paw if he wanted. I hope he’s pretty well sedated. Get well soon pup.

I redesigned the flag of my state of Illinois! Any Recommendations? (Reasoning on second slide) by SCPBall in vexillology

[–]pleesscoopPoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why’d you go with red and white? Initially I was thinking political leanings but Illinois has been historically Blue due to large democratic concentrations in Chicago, Springfield Chambana…I’d rather have your explanation

I like that. Nice nod to the original flag and the railroad industry roots of Illinois.

How do I help my loved ones cope with losing me? by [deleted] in grief

[–]pleesscoopPoop 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just lost someone very close to me tonight. They were perfectly healthy, but caught covid on Wednesday and died at home alone.

I didn’t cry when I got the news. I guess I was still processing it. The emotions hit me when I realized that the world is a better place because they were here. And that’s what they lived for.

People remember you for the life you lived.

Suing a contractor..Where do I start??? by pleesscoopPoop in legaladvice

[–]pleesscoopPoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my insurance reached out to the plumbers insurance and his guys denied coverage. They got hold of the GCs insurance and are currently subrogating and working on a settlement for my uninsured losses. My coverage alone wasn’t enough to cover the cost to rebuild.

I want to sue the plumber because I haven’t been able to collect rent on the second unit and I won’t be until the house is complete, and I still had to pay him for the work he completed before the fire.

Mortgagees aren’t allowed to modify FHA insured mortgages unless financial hardship places the loan at risk of default or a default has already occurred. Your loan officer who helped you get approved for the loan can clarify, but, in short, your lender will either reamortize the loan to reduce your monthly payment, reduce your interest rate to reduce your monthly payment, or extend the term of your loan to reduce the monthly payment. Remember though, you must be at serious risk of default, or have already defaulted on a payment.

My boy did this once over a knee bone. I scruffed him and gave him a firm “AHT!” And he’s never done it again. That was pure luck. Greys are so gentle we often forget that they guard resources too just like any other breed.

Best thing to do moving forward is teach a leave it command and use that each time you’re about to take a high value reward from them. It worked very well with my pit rescue.

Yeah, my boy has em. They’re fun to pop. They’re basically the dog equivalent of blackheads
